I would have preferred it on the displays chin plate and leave the Fn keys alone!

I still want my ports back too! Don't get me wrong I want the USB-C ports as well. The dongle hell Apple thrust on us is just bad.

Well said, but probably he is far from alone with that opinion.

I’m still rocking my 2009 13” MBP upgraded from 2 to 8GB RAM, no optical disc and only one 750GB SSD and a new high quality Chinese/Japan-made battery. If it wasn’t for my SSD having severe speed problems and one Options-key jumping off from time to time I would probably run it another 10 years.

My next MBP must have:
  • 6 core i5
  • 16GB RAM
  • 1TB SSD
  • Atleast 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB-C ports
  • Long and superb quality battery
  • Past gen higher and super durable keyboard and touch pad
  • No touch bar
  • Not lighter and thinner than it already is (my 2009 MBP has travelled alot without any dents and buckles and it’s thanks to it having more weight and being sturdier) - Let’s keep it that way!
  • Not too much glossy screen or no glossy screen
  • Price must be around 1500$ including the Swedish higher tax + chemical tax

Defeats the purpose for those that want laptops though.

I agree! I want the performance of an iMac Pro in a laptop. A real Pro's MacBook Pro!

Older keyboard and smaller touchpad. Place the touch Bar on the display's chin plate give us back the Fn keys.

Give us back two USB-A ports, Ethernet, SD & lastly modify the back two USB-C ports L&R (x4) so a MagSafe plug can be flush mounted within it with a 4k or better display in both a 15" & 17" system.

Offering all of this in an older MacBook Pro frame (2011-12) that way there's enough space for better cooling & bigger battery!
