You don't need that good of a reason. :p

And if you get bored, come play in the Political Forums. We have lots of fun discussions there. Just be forewarned though, we will destroy you.
That's why I won't go there. I've read a few of the articles, don't care to join in on the melee.

And yeah, I'll bug arn or someone else about a name change someday.

Scratch that, got a name change :)

I feel loved.

On a whim, I decided to check back in on this place and randomly searched my name to look for old threads. Lo and behold, there's not only a discussion of missing old posters, but I'm mentioned!

Thanks a ton, guys.

For anyone that's been curious, I'm still alive and kicking, still with the same girl, and will be getting married in less than two months. We've got our place settled now that she's moved to be with me, our stuff is mingled, and I've pulled her from the Dark Side to using a mac. Granted, it's not a new one, but that's neither here nor there.

I've been lurking for months, checking here every now and then to see if there's anything juicy on the horizon, but just didn't feel the fire I once did. Maybe I'll try dipping my toes back in the waters and see what happens. If I don't, though, at least you know I'm doing well and remember this place fairly fondly.

Take care,
TW

A lot of the "characters" that were prolific posters when I joined aren't posting much anymore.

I still feel like a bit of a newbie because some people have been around three times as long as me, posted a third as many times as I have and made a much bigger impression.

Anyone else appreciate the irony?
His day was seized on several occasions.
I miss dubbz he was fun, and wdlove was lovingly cheezy, I wish I could have met eyelikeart who has been referred to much prior to Katrina, during, and after. There are a boatload more like MacDawg.

One's I don't miss: mymemory, Chacala_Nayarit, adamant

Exactly. It's easy to claim to 'miss' the most prolific members just because of their visibility... others who are less visible get overlooked in these wretched popularity contests whereas those of us who are here quite often notice who's not around, but because they're just a little less extroverted, they get too easily forgotten.

Saying that, I miss CanadaRAM.

Trevor was/is a class act. I'm glad you remembered him, and hope he comes back.

she may still be around but lacero is who ill miss

I saw Lacero comment on a Digg.com arcticle this week, doesn't mean its actually her but at least it means she could still be around (and interested in tech :) )

Boy do I remember Alphatech... He was one hell of a intimidating person to any noob that asked questions. He did started a new forum after he left Macrumors, something with pub name on it, don't recall exactly :)
