found a nick on my white iphone 5

Haa, nice! That's my phone (no serious, I took that picture just the other day). I myself have yet to go in and exchange it. I really don't know if it's worth it. Yea it bothers me, but I think I'm more afraid of getting a new one that looks worse...
This is stupid, you don't eat off chicken nor off beef why pay for a phone which is off? Yeh stupid comparison but it is true!!
Same thing here two on my white iPhone 5 and 1 on my wife's iPhone 5. Sucks but what ya gonna do. I thought about bringing it back but I would feel like a **** so I just decided to keep it. I am sure that's not the last scratch, dent, or ding it will get.

I also have a nick on the bezel of my black and my wife has a small one on hers which is white. They're both in a case so they're completely unnoticeable. The only time I really noticed them is when I was putting on the screen protector. Why in the hell anybody would return the phone because of this is beyond me.
It's gonna get dropped and nicked sooner or later so why anquish over something so tiny?
In a year or so when apple comes out with the iPhone 6 that tiny little nick isn't going make any difference to the person that I sell to on eBay.

People aren't getting it. IF I HAD used the phone/dropped it then fine, however, I got it from the shop like that and that's where the issue lies.
And when you do eventually drop it or put it against a hard surface what then? What difference would that make? Will you get a replacement for $229 cause you dont want a microscopic nick or scratch?
I would deal with it as it would be my fault. Is it that hard to understand the difference. Why do people become such arrogant people when there is a virtual world between them.
To me it doesnt matter.
Such a tiny little thing I wouldnt even think about it twice.
Others like you act like its the end of the world and spend so much time, energy and effort to something as minor and insignificant.
But people are weird like that I guess.
Whatever makes you happy dude and helps you sleep better at night with less worries
Others have bigger fish to fry.
Make sure and bring your magnifying glass when you get your new phone to see if the nick that WILL be on the replacement is smaller than the nick on the phone that your returning.
If you think these phone are 100% nick free you're crazy.

If I don't notice it the first then no big deal. As I've said I didn't open it in the store.
im sure iphones and other apple devices are this expensive because apple knows some users will be putting them under a microscope to check if there is any molecule out of place and cry their way to the store to exchange them as many times as possible.
ironically, my thought is that if you are going to be this bothered by a tiny "nick" on a fragile and expensive phone you are better of buying something else - such as a samsung - because it is bound to happen. Or, you can cover it up in plastic and rubber protection which in a way will make the whole idea of experiencing a sleek and elegant design pointless.
