Another scoring quirk,

Stephen Gostkowski, W 16-9 3/3 0/0 0/0 3/3 1/1 10

Sebastian Janikowski, L 9-16 1/1 2/2 0/0 3/3 0/0 11

How did Janikowski get one more point for doing less? Are they counting distance in the kick more?

Okay folks,

I double checked the league settings and looked over everything regarding the "tie" this past weekend between rdowns and MacNut. I could not figure out why the system was giving MacNut the win and so I eventually called ESPN support for help.

I was told that with decimal scoring there will never be a tie because the system actually carries the stats out to the hundredth place or "as far as it needs to go to break a potential tie". I'm not sure I understand that fully, but that's what the support guy on the phone said.

If you will hold your cursor over a team score then a popup will actually show you that team's score to the .00 place. So, the official ESPN score for rdowns' and MacNut's matchup is as follows:

rdowns: 129.46
MacNut: 129.54

I held my cursor over the score of other teams in the league and for some it showed a score to the .00 place, but for others it did not. I can only assume that if your score is, for example, 101.5 and the popup also shows 101.5 then your actual score is 101.50. If you have any questions then feel free to let me know, but for now that's all the information I have. I believe making the move to decimal scoring is best for our league, but there are going to be some "growing pains" as we adjust to the transition.

Tough loss rdowns... :(

Thanks for checking it out, I think. :D

Ya it seems they count 40-49 and 50+ higher. Guess that explains that.

That's correct, all field goals 39 yards or less are worth 3 points. 40-49 yard field goals are worth 4 points and 50+ yards is worth 5 points. All extra points are worth 1 point and any field goal 0-39 yards that is missed will earn you a -1 to your score.

If anyone ever has questions about scoring the full breakdown is available in the league settings.

Great win rdowns! Nothing like an underdog story with the winless team upsetting the undefeated team. Man, injuries really hurt me this weekend. I'm actually not going to win a single matchup across 5 different leagues. Yikes!

Thanks, I've been killed with injuries so it was a sweet win. I'd trade it in a NY minute for a Jets win though.

The one god damn day Gostkowski has a good game and I don't play him.

I have a question about a trade proposal that has been offered to me in my fantasy league.

I have Alshon Jeffery and Antinio Gates and the guy wants to trade me Golden Tate and Giovani Bernard..

Would y'all take this trade? I need to add that I am in need of a decent running back

Sorry Alabama, but there is no way to answer your question without knowing more details like who else is on your roster and what scoring system does your league use. Determining player value is difficult without knowing those kinds of things.

sorry about that. we are using the standard ESPN scoring and here is my current roster.

Also, I have a empty spot on my roster after dropping a flex player due to injury

Okay, first question, what does your gut tell you?

Bernard is predicted to finish as a top 10 fantasy RB so acquiring him would be beneficial. That being said, Alshon Jeffery is predicted to be a top 10 WR at the end of the season as well. Gates and Walker are pretty much a wash so trading one of them should leave you relatively at the same strength for TE. Golden Tate could see some improvement with the injury to Calvin Johnson, but he's not an equal replacement for Jeffery.

So, I go back to my original question, what does your gut say?

If you stay where you are then you have a strong WR core to cover your WR slots, most likely your flex as well, and you are seeing what Forsett, Ingram, or Ivory can do as a RB2. That's not really a bad place to be.

If you make the trade then you have a solid RB core and have to see what Wayne or Tate can do in the WR2 and Flex spots. Also, not necessarily a bad place to be.

Who do you think is going to get you more points with standard scoring, a solid RB or a solid WR? Answer that question for yourself and it will clarify for you which way to go with the trade. Either option seems to be a pretty good choice.

Another freaking week that I should have won. The right players are not scoring at the right times.:confused:

Damn tho.

You might break 200 points this week, sheesh. Damn your WR corps. And your TE. And your QB having a ridiculous year. :/

I love my WR! It's crazy that 2 guys on my bench had more than Sammie Watkins did and he had a solid week.

My RB2 has been somewhat of a challenge, but thank god for Arian!

If anyone with a stud running back is looking for a WR, I'm all ears! :D

We have the deadest thread of all the MR leagues. :(

That said, congrats to the Amber Meffs, our 2014 Founders League Champion! Great run. Can we find a way to get our glorious trophy to Jaffa after the new year? :)
