Likely any impacted is already reflected in the guidance that was adjusted.
Again, this is a problem very specifically related to a slowdown in China.
The prices weren’t too high in markets like the US, Canada, Spain, Italy, Germany and Korea where records were set. Prices won’t be dropping there, but they might in China and already have.
I think innovation is one of the reasons but the most important is the PRICE!
HELLO APPLE! $1500 for a freaking phone!!! C’mon now! I would buy an XS if it were $650 not $1000!
Yes, if I would need a phone, I would get an XR or even 8. No need to spend $1000 on a phone. C’mon!I had similiar logic, but I needed a phone. so the 8+ for 699 was the answer. Its still more than I wanted to pay coming from SE's....it just means now its another 3+ years before I buy another.
That looks like the "swipe up line" at the bottom of the iPhone screens that have FaceID. I think he took a screenshot of his phone.Looked at the quote. What's that line through text at the bottom? Doesn't look very good.
Didn't the iPhone grow in every market but China?Always remember that Apple’s Revenue Stream is highly depended on user installed services today. The smaller the number of new devices being brought into the ecosystem the smaller services revenue will grow. Eventually the dog will catch its tail and bite it. Apple needs to lower prices to grow the user base within the ecosystem.![]()

COMPLETELY WRONG

Those are really good points, but the iPhone X should enough reason to upgrade for many people. But there's no way I'm paying $1000 iPhone for that phone. Currently I'm on iPhone 6S, I've been wanting to upgrade but not willing to spend $1000 on a phone and I believe a lot of us feel the same way. iOS is great but most of us will be spending on Social Media apps, Amazon for shopping, Spotify for music and browsing on Safari. Even more advancements and enhancements coming on future phones price will be still a concern until that phone completely replaces our PC's to do real work or serious gaming.
In all honesty, even though Apple makes the highest quality phones, best software etc., there really hasn't been any significant upgrades other than face id to make todays phones stand out over my daughters iphone 6. Looks the same when we unlock. Innovation is the key, but we may have plateaued on that.[/QUOTE
Many people would disagree with you on that. It is a long time since Apple made the best hardware and when it comes to the OS Apple is far behind now when it comes to delivering a stable OS. The amount of issues and crashes I've experienced with my XS Max is totally unacceptable. Meanwhile my Pixle 3XL is buttery smooth and has never crashed once. When it comes to hardware, the iphones modem is behind it's Android competitors and it gets beaten soundly on camera quality by both the Pixel and Huawei.
The iphone has a premium build for sure but I personally prefer the feel of the Pixel 3XL also the competition is much cheaper. Apple really need to up their game if they want to claim to be leaders in the market. The only thing Apple has that the competition don't is faceid which for myself and many others is one of the most irritating things about the new iPhones. With my Pixel my phone is unlocked before it's out of my pocket and ready for GooglePay, whereas for ApplePay I have to pull the phone out and look at it to use it a very unnatural and slow process. That's when it works which is hit and miss. I've never had to type my password so much since faceid was introduced.
eWhat Apple needs to do is to have a phone option for those of us who don't give a crap what it's made from because it sits in a case all it's life. I would love to have the guts of an XR in a case made of plastic, for $200 less. I'd slap it in a case and be happy as a pig in you know what. A lot of the iPhone cost is in the expensive casing.
What's the point of a glass back if its gonna sit in a case? What's the point of stainless steel sides if it's gonna sit in a case and none of it is seen?
Make the expensive glass/glossy devices for those who want them, and also love dropping and breaking them.
Everyone that needs a car has one (generally.) Auto makers aren’t going out of business. Cars age, the become worn, and new models come out with slightly more appealing features. Cars aren’t going to be discontinued. Replace Auto makers with Apple and cars with iPhone. Same stuff folks.
I have no loyalty to jobs nor cook. I do find I relate more to cook however.Well people labeled him as a visionary for a reason, but it's also ironic he handpicked similar profiles to move forward with the company twice.
On 2018 John Sculley said (minute 4:04):
"Steves Jobs created a loyalty with users that is unparalleled in the world"
"What Tim Cook has done is built a loyalty with the shareholders"

Apple needs to dump the XR and move the XS to $799 64 GB. Admit the mistake and move on. I hope they really don’t plan on releasing another LCD iPhone in 2019.
This is not 2010 anymore when the Chinese didn’t have their hands on the latest tech. Sony once dominated consumer electronics and look at them now barely hanging on as a high-end TV manufacturer. All of the other Japanese giants quit years ago.
Apple thinks having a CPU with 5 billion (or whatever) instruction executions per second actually means anything to a normal user. The CPU must have upgraded by maybe 500% since my iPhone 4S/6, but realistically, did I need that much processing power to do the same thing I've always done? E-mails, browser, chat clients, maybe a few social media apps.
These "huge" processing power upgrades are redundant - things that would actually benefit the average user are things like much more superior battery life, perhaps larger iCloud storage, technology which finds a work around to the notch and advances so we no longer have a camera bump.
Perhaps more focus on a competent Siri and iOS updates that make it more feature rich like Android is what they need to focus on. I really won't care if iPhone 11 has a 35% more powerful CPU.
The trade deficit has been increasing during tariff fight. This could be due to Trade War! Maybe manufacturing jobs are moving back...
Is that a new bologna based display technology developed by Apple?Mmm, more bologna for Tim…

I wouldn’t mind seeing the removal of the home button in exchange for a 4.7” display on the SE 2. Maybe integrate TouchID into the screen like some Chinese manufacturers have done in addition to a smaller notch for FaceID to give consumers an option. Sell it for $649 for 64GB.iPhone 5 form factor, upgrade the processor and camera, leave the physical buttons and headphone jack as they are. This phone was the epitome of form and function. Any novice could pick it up and figure out how to get to the home screen, adjust the volume, silence alerts, and connect a pair of headphones. This is how an appliance should function.
In other words, people want an updated iPhone SE.
