Yes, I think if Apple manufactured all its products in the USA, we the US folks would buy in extremely high numbers.

Sure just point Foxconn to where they can do it, find the tens of thousands to want to do it, good luck to you.

Pure daydreaming.

Doesn’t Apple make the Mac Pro in the US? I seem to remember a photo with Cook and Trump.

And boom what immense success that has become. Apple Stores are so overrun by the demand from US customers they’re can’t get them fast enough from the factory.

What difference does that make. Apple have proven they can build their products in the US if they want to. The Mac Pro is not intended to be a mass market computer. It’s a high end pro device.

Yup. Proven niche and expensive.
But sure you have it figured out. Hence why all these electronics that are sold in the millions are made elsewhere.

Apples success story is proudly printed on every mass market product they make: designed in California, made elsewhere.

You are reading what you want to read rather than what I said. I stated that Apple could make their products in the US if they wanted to. That is a FACT. They chose not to because they are greedy and want to make them as cheaply as possible sell them for as much as possible and make a huge profit in the process. That is their choice but let’s be clear about their motivation here.

Yup, the motivation is capitalism. That’s never a surprise with a stock traded company though. They could build anywhere, but not at any price point. And people will buy a competitively priced iPhone rather than one that costs twice as much. They can afford to run a few hundred Mac Pro off the line for what they cost and the stuff made in the dozens of millions is made elsewhere.
