Exactly - it's a $4 case, not a free case, as the nonsense subject line deceives. OP should correct the thread subject to read $4 generic china case.

I "won" the "free" case on 7/11, and got a tracking number from Paypal on 7/16. As of today, the tracking status still says:
The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on July 16, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. Information, if available, is updated periodically throughout the day. Please check again later.

I just got a reply from Kevin, and he promised to ship mine out. Even offered me an extra color for the shipping problems.

I won on the 11th as well and I have the tracking number, but with the same message as you...still waiting for the case
Mine has taken a long time as well, but I think it may finally get here.

I just got a google checkout notification that I got a refund. I guess that's better than having money eaten but not as cool as getting the product. Oh well my free legit Apple bumper should ship in the next 3-5weeks.
I got mine in the mail today. Nothing special. Won't use it. I mean, I absolutely appreciate the offer and everything, but you cannot access the volume controls because they're so incredibly recessed. Honestly, and sadly, a waste of $4. Thanks anyway, repairmyiphone... It truly was a generous offer.
Its a bummer that I was not able to get the cases I would have liked sooner. Hey I hope it can hold everyone over until Apple sends out the official cases.

Mine has covers over the buttons, but they are still usable, definitely harder to push, but not impossible. I used it for about a week, but I just put a Phantomskinz on last night, and I haven't tried it yet because I am a little afraid it will pull it up like it did the Wrapsol Original. Not too bad really, I don't know if I would have paid $4 for it knowing exactly what it was, but it is not the worst thing ever.
It has now been another 5 days since Kevin promised to ship me a case (I never got the first one in spite of a shipping notification from Paypal).
I have sent him 2 more emails asking for a status. I am getting the feeling that this is a dead loss of $3.95.
I am not sure of the purpose of this promo - I certainly won't be rushing to have my iPhone repaired here based on this fiasco.

Hi all, this is one thing (cases) I will not be doing again.
I take this very seriously and handling all these cases plus cancellations was a nightmare. Please note that I have not had one single customer complain or have any issues with iPhone repair turn around.You (jjohnson999) will receive your case I assure you that. I have sent every single one thank god.

I received mine today. Kevin actually sent me an extra case in blue (Thanks!) First of all, the way the cases fit the phone surprised me a lot. They are very snug and feel solid when you're holding the phone. Unfortunately, the black case is unusable (at least for me) because of the fact that I cannot for the life of me reach the volume buttons. They aren't covered up so the case recesses them so much so that I cannot press them.
The blue case fit my phone the same way, very snug. My only gripe about the blue one is that it had a blemish on the side that is a blackish color (not pictured), as if it was rubbed against something in production or where ever. All in all, the cases are pretty nice for what I paid, so I can't complain. Thanks for going through all of the trouble of shipping these things out man.

Just to provide an update, I did receive the case, including an extra blue one. It took some time, but Kevin did keep his word.
The cases are OK. I won't use them as they are lifting up the Zagg shield.
