CrossOver Serial Number Sign Up Page is Live

Hey All,

I just wanted to let you know that it looks like the site is up to get the free software. I just registered and got Crossover pro for mac which includes crossover games. :)

By the way, looks like they are limiting the load on their servers. You can still down load CrossOver, just that they give you the trial versions, which you activate using your username and password.
 
AND you have to register on the regular website within 48 hours after getting your serial, or else your serial becomes invalid, so make sure to go back and register asap....
 
It looks like they're providing fully unlocked versions for today instead of registration.

I downloaded and installed it and I was never asked for my serial#.

I have successfully installed Quicken 2007, restored my files, and everything seems to be working fine. This is a very big deal for me, as Quicken was the only reason I was running Parallels. I'm going to test it a little more, before I start jumping up and down, because Codeweaver's site shows Quicken 2007 as bronze.
 
I have a piece of windows sofware that i need to install .reg files into the registry with. Is this possible? As i havent found a way of doing it through crossover yet? This would stop me using bootcamp forever it works!

You should have full access to regedit.exe as crossover uses a full registry. There is a way to use "run" in crossover somewhere in the bottle manager, or you can navigate to the C: and execute regedit manually I believe.


Also note, although Crossover Games is great for older stuff, it is struggling hard on DX9+ support on Mac (I believe the linux version is better due to some odd Mac driver issues). Steam games (portal, TF2, etc) are restricted to using only DX8.1 with very few graphical options available which looks like crud compared to DX9. They DO run, but bootcamp is still king for newer games.

I use CrossoverGames for things like Baldur's Gate 2 (which runs perfectly)

I did try reg edit through importing the file? bt it doesnt seem to do anything?As usually i just double click the reg files an it adds straight to it? Or am i missing something?

What's the download link on that one? Seems the site is completely down at the moment. At least I got my serial earlier today!
 
I got mine this morning. Sadly, I will be stuck on this Dell laptop all day today so I won't be able to try it out until I get home tonight. I think it's great that they are giving out the Pro version rather than making you choose which one to get. Now I just need to round up some Windows software to try out.
 
What does free gas have to do with anything? He didn't get free gas he got gas at under $2.80

It makes me wonder when a new version comes how how you keep your copy registered?

Yah, I got 4 copies (for 4 computers) last night around 10/11pm EST. Was real easy, they're all installed, Orange Box installed on 1 of them, LOTRO installed on 2 of them, runs like a champ!

OP typo'd the title. It's supposed to read "Cheap Gas"
 
I am guessing only the particular version is free (no updates?).

Any thoughts on that?
 
Looks like you submit your email to get a serial.

The "downloads" are up, although web site contents cannot be accessed at this time.
