Free Lion upgrade with new Mac - doesn't work.

Where did you get your serial number? You might have pasted your UUID by accident. It should have no hyphens.
 
Mine free upgrade worked fine, once I copied my new IMAC serial number and cut and pasted it in the qualification serial number box. You need to be careful with the number 0 and the letter o if you are typing in your serial number.:apple:
 
Mine didn't work either... purchased on June 8th. However, I tried on my wife's purchased on June 6th and it worked fine. Already installed.

In fact, when trying to do it now it only allows you to select Mac Mini or Mac Pro. Maybe in a few minutes everything will work itself out.

still no luck here....

i bought my MBP on 8th of June from the Online Store.

It just can't find my serial, tried both ways already. serial is correct though, copied it directly from the profiler.....
 
Same problem for me.

There are two links. The first one says that i qualify but wants me to enter credit card information to pay 0,00€. WTF! I don't have a credit card and i even have some money on my Apple ID. The second one says that I don't qualify. Great.
 
Same here purchased new iMac on July 8th and it won't take my serial number.
I'm copy/paste straight from System Profiler so I know I didn't fat finger it by mistake
 
copy and pasted as well.

apparently someone called up apple support and they said it was a known issue and to try later.
 
Won't take my serial number either. Purchased on June 16 via apple online store. Guess they have some kinks to work out.
 
It won't take my serial number, either. I copied and pasted from my online invoice, and I tried typing the serial number. It was purchased 6/16/11 from the Apple Online Store. I checked to make sure that I was on the right page.
 
I contacted Apple Care and as expected, they are aware of the issue and basically said try again in a few hours.
 
Text after entering the serial number is now changed to:

There has been an error with the system. The administrators have been informed, please try again later.

EDIT: Still sometimes showing that my system is not eligible. We should probably wait.
 
Same problem here.:( Thought I was having trouble because my original one was RMAed and was sent a replacement.
 
Wrote mine down from the box and plugged it in, no problems here, Downloading now.
 
Nope...

I bought a 15" MBP from the Apple Online Store on 6/16 and it wouldn't recognize my serial number either. What did you guys enter for the city and state for the online store? It wouldn't let me submit without one. (wouldn't take the serial number with or without the city/state)
