They open the phone and fix the camera this is not accidental damage. Will they change the screen or do they give you a refurbished?
It wouldn't count as an accidental damage for my AppleCare+ right? (There's no phone damage)
Also would they even exchange it if doesn't effect the view of the camera?
Has the problem reoccurred? I too now have a crescent on iPhone 6 bought December 2014 and wondering if it is worth having the screen replaced as I am worried it might shift further. Is it an iPhone 6? This was a common problem with the early 6's. They'll replace the screen for you. It takes about 45 minutes or an hour. Both my wife and I had to have this done.
I would get it repaired before the warranty runs out and then you have 90 days from the date of the repair if the phone still exhibits the same issue to get it repaired again.Has the problem reoccurred? Agree. If it does crop up before 90 days, then that can be fixed under the 90 day repair warranty. If it doesn't crop up in the 90 days then I am thinking that it wont crop up again.Sure, but there's no guarantee that the crescent moon issue will crop up again before 90 days.
So far, I haven't seen any reports of this issue on the iPhone 6s or 6s+ so it looks like they've implemented a permanent fix in the newest models but not the iPhone 6 or 6+.

The thing with the fixes is that they replace the screen assembly which includes the camera and the home button. But what is unclear is that the new screens have modified design that fixes the problem.... before 90 days.
It's odd that the camera is 'moving'. Even more odd that after being fixed, it does it again.
If that happened, I'd go back and say that they didn't fix it right, especially if it's effecting taking pictures, and try, calmly, to make them really 'fix' it...
If it's an operational issue, and you can prove it, they *should* try to fix it again, and try to insure that it really is fixed..

If the problem crops up again then it needs to be fixed again, it's a luck of draw whether the problem arises again.
My replacement screen sometimes now has edge pixels smearing the image displayed. So I have to go in for another repair.
Had my display replaced 3 weeks ago, only for crescent to reappear.Has anyone that has had the fix done have it return?
