I have just had mine replaced in the Apple Store Uk. They also told me that because I bought it from the store it now comes with two year's warranty.

Will they change the screen or do they give you a refurbished?

It wouldn't count as an accidental damage for my AppleCare+ right? (There's no phone damage)

Also would they even exchange it if doesn't effect the view of the camera?
They open the phone and fix the camera this is not accidental damage.

Got the 'screen + camera + home button' replaced last week. It took about an hour and half. New screen is good and have had no issues. I had to make two trips to the Apple store, first time I was told that this is a cosmetic issue and wont be covered. Second time was smooth, no questions asked for repair. I am good to go for another 90 days, if the issues comes up again, then back to the store for repair.

Is there anyone with a 6s or 6s+ with this issue? If not, we can assume they've found a permanent fix for good. We know they haven't done this for the 6 or 6+ even after a repair.

Mine hasn't moved yet. And I've dropped it a few times (insert Otterbox gushing customer review here) and, so far, no untoward camera movement. Apparently my ranting against Chinese workers has been misplaced. They apparently squirted enough glue in my iPhone to stick the camera to it's required position...

But, still, an America worker can squirt glue too...

Is it an iPhone 6? This was a common problem with the early 6's. They'll replace the screen for you. It takes about 45 minutes or an hour. Both my wife and I had to have this done.
Has the problem reoccurred? I too now have a crescent on iPhone 6 bought December 2014 and wondering if it is worth having the screen replaced as I am worried it might shift further.

I would get it repaired before the warranty runs out and then you have 90 days from the date of the repair if the phone still exhibits the same issue to get it repaired again.

Sure, but there's no guarantee that the crescent moon issue will crop up again before 90 days.

So far, I haven't seen any reports of this issue on the iPhone 6s or 6s+ so it looks like they've implemented a permanent fix in the newest models but not the iPhone 6 or 6+.

Agree. If it does crop up before 90 days, then that can be fixed under the 90 day repair warranty. If it doesn't crop up in the 90 days then I am thinking that it wont crop up again.

... before 90 days.

It's odd that the camera is 'moving'. Even more odd that after being fixed, it does it again.

If that happened, I'd go back and say that they didn't fix it right, especially if it's effecting taking pictures, and try, calmly, to make them really 'fix' it...

If it's an operational issue, and you can prove it, they *should* try to fix it again, and try to insure that it really is fixed..

I had this also, I ended up with two repairs and two replacements. The last replacements camera shifted as well but gave up after that as I knew the 6s was coming. No camera shift in the 6s yet

Had mine replaced, but it's moving again. And the home button also feels weird, almost like it moves (and there's an audible click) when you just rest your finger on it. This wasn't present before they ostensibly fixed the camera issue...

At this point I'll probably just learn to live with it - although I usually hate the term, this is quite a 'first world problem'. I'm on my fourth 6 Plus with this one having its screen replaced once as well, so to be quite honest I'm sick to the back teeth of going to the Apple Store. I just really want a unit free of problems, but either I've been very unlucky or the 6 Plus has some major issues. I haven't had problems like these with any other iPhones.

I just hope the wait for the 7 goes fairly quickly!

The thing with the fixes is that they replace the screen assembly which includes the camera and the home button. But what is unclear is that the new screens have modified design that fixes the problem.
If the problem crops up again then it needs to be fixed again, it's a luck of draw whether the problem arises again.

My replacement screen sometimes now has edge pixels smearing the image displayed. So I have to go in for another repair.

So Apple is supplying defective spares kits for repairs? THAT is bad news...

I went to the store for service again, this time the lady said that the display should not have been replaced the first time. The felt between the camera and the screen is moving and she removed the felt piece and said that's what should have been done the first time. This is the first time I am hearing of it.

I asked if there was a functional purpose for the felt piece, she obviously denied it and the also claimed that the camera sits flush against the screen. If the camera was flush against the screen then felt was not taking up any space, which doesn't make sense. I feel the the felt piece was for dust protection. This was not a satisfying response from the Apple store. It looks good after the service, but still don't trust the response from the technician.

My 6 had significant shifting, so I had it replaced on 9/18/15. It's been 3 months and the replacement has no noticeable shifting.
