Well I got my 6th iPhone 6 in the mail and... Camera is looking good so far but the screen I got has the same old problems I've seen over and over. Darker upper right hand quadrant than the rest of the screen and the lower left side has a yellowish tinge to it. The color temp goes from a yellowish color to a cool blue left to right across the whole screen. You can see it on the keyboard when typing messages.

But I have 8.4.1 and a new phone and battery so this should do until I upgrade next fall to the iPhone 7. Thanks for trying to fix my issues Apple even though you still haven't!

So the camera on the front of my phone was slightly off, it made like a little crescent. And I just noticed it got even more worse, the lens is half off and you can see the edge of it. Will Apple replace my phone for free?

How many times have you dropped it?

I was going to say, as long as it hasn't been dropped they should at least replace the camera as long as it's still under warranty.

Parts like that shouldn't shift even if you do drop it (unless it hits with enough force to deform the case). It should be fixed in place.

Is it an iPhone 6? This was a common problem with the early 6's. They'll replace the screen for you. It takes about 45 minutes or an hour. Both my wife and I had to have this done.

It's not just a problem with early 6's as I have a replacement 6 made in July with the same issue. Not going to bother getting it fixed though since my new 6s+ comes on Friday

No its not, I got a replacement 6 two weeks ago and the camera is shifting. Its a design flaw.

If its not fixed, ill just return the phone and stay with the 6. Cant justify paying 800$ plus for the camera moving every month.
That's a pretty lame reason not to keep a phone. It's only visual, it doesn't effect the photos in any way. Even if it moves in the slightest, you can always get a free replacement, and who can complain about a brand new phone

Thanks! Must have misremembered.
It's definitely seems a lot more common on SG models, but I'm not sure if that is just due to the bias on here of lots of people owning a SG phone. If you go to the main thread on this issue, there are a few pictures from white phones.

Will they change the screen or do they give you a refurbished?

It wouldn't count as an accidental damage for my AppleCare+ right? (There's no phone damage)

Also would they even exchange it if doesn't effect the view of the camera?

The issue dampened my 6 experience this past year. $850 phone, and I had the obstruction less than eight weeks into ownership. I didn't bother having it replaced until this July as I kept hearing people were still getting bad ones.

I haven't had a replacement long enough to know if they still have the issue as my first replacement came with scratches, and the second came with the rear camera bezel peeling. I'm keeping that one though, as surely a third one would have something wrong.

To the point, the camera on my first one was bad enough that it was affecting the pictures! They were very cloudy and washed out, 10x crisper on these two replacements I got. Now, I will admit my obstruction was halfway in the middle of the hole, so worse than many, but it can affect the performance of the camera.

If my on order 6S Plus that costs $950 does this, I will be disappointed indeed. These are fantastic devices, if it was an innocent flaw, I just wish they had fixed it by now.

Apple Care Plus is great, but I'd prefer to never use it as you never know what kind of replacement phone you're getting.

Exactly. And why should we have to worry about the camera moving and ruining pictures down the line on a 800$ plus phone? There is no justifying that.

The crescent moon issue doesn't always result in affecting the photos. I had it on my launch day iPhone 6 and deliberately waited until the last minute (right before the warranty expired) to swap it out in hope that they'd implement a permanent fix. Sure, it's annoying to look at, but it's never affected my photos. Now it's my buyer's problem down the line (should it shift again), as I'm getting the 6s.

Honestly after paying that much, I don't want to worry about it moving and having to visit an Apple store. I travel internationally a lot and thats just one less worry I want to have.

My iPhone 6 was replaced in the Apple Store by a refurbished one :D Couldn't be happier since my original iPhone had some damage because I dropped it...

I was also given a replacement device but the replacement is garbage. The paint has chipped in several places, it gets very hot, and apps crash at least five times a day. Now I'm going to have to carry the replacement back. I honestly don't think I'll be upgrading to the 6S; can't take the chance. I think I'll get an iPad mini 4 instead!
