I had a full screen advert on mobile Safari 26.2 - I couldn’t do anything to get rid of it (scrolling didn’t work, no obvious close button), my only option was to refresh the browser window.

Advert was from Westpac bank.

More full screen ads.

Just opened the site on my phone and started scrolling. Articles seem to scroll now in front of a full screen background advertisement. It’s so super annoying! Not going to spend much time on the site if this remains up.

I can understand advertisements between articles but this just kills the complete user experience. Scrolling transparent stuff feels completely unnatural and breaks every ui design rule.

I'm seeing a different type of fullscreen ad on Mac than others seem to be reporting here. I'll be scrolling and I'll just suddenly have a fullscreen video. Actually fullscreen, like Lion-mode fullscreen, not the 90% screen coverage others are reporting.

I'll start collecting screenshots, not that they mean anything since Macrumors isn't showing at the time.
