Naming convention of Apple Silicon should be based on how many cores the chip has. For example:

A14 Bionic X2 - two cores, iPad, iPad Air, MacBook, iPhones

A14 Bionic X3 - iPad Pro, MacBook Air

A14 Bionic X4 - MacBook Pro 14”, Base model iMac

A14 Bionic X8 - High end MacBook Pro 16”, iMac

A14 Bionic X12 - iMac Pro, Mac Pro

Except for the iPhones definitely don’t have 2 cores. The A13 has 6 cores, I believe.

Yeah i think several of us Brits are having the same issue

I would say try to load the US website and go to the events page: https://www.apple.com/apple-events/

Yep because on the UK website, it says to watch the stream on the US site.

Not sure what you are watching but it's not the Apple Event keynote.

He could be watching the pre-recorded looping logo animation that’s showing up in the TV app right now. It looks pretty cool, but it’s not the actual livestream.

I’m hoping for a new Apple TV today. It seems like today will focus on iOS-powered devices so fingers crossed they update the TV today.
I'm with you on that. I've been holding onto a 3rd Gen Apple TV since early 2015, and I think it's time to upgrade haha. I've been missing the 4K streaming and the other features. Fingers crossed we get an update today!

In June everyone blabbed we'd see a new iMac, then at the last minute 'Sorry to get your hopes up. No new iMac. Stinks to be you.' Hoping beyond hope they pull another fast one and announce the iPhone 12. I can hope, right? I won't bet on it, though.

Definitely issues here getting the official Apple Stream on Apple TV or the Apple website.

I don’t think the actual stream has started yet. So far I’m just getting a pre-looping video on the TV app, and nothing on the website. The YouTube one is supposed to actually start at 10:00 Pacific. Maybe the others will start at 9:45 and just play preshow animations and Apple Music One until 10:00? (That’s what they usually do)

Anyone know the ambient song playing in the background of the placeholder right now? I have Shazam'ed several times and get a different (incorrect) result each time...

2 big, 4 little. With big.little architecture you can configure how many little efficiency cores to supplement the big cores with.

iOS 14 could be released today, hopefully iOS 14 has lesser bugs than iOS13, Fingers crossed

I think iOS 14 Beta has been the most reliable beta ever. I have been using the beta for awhile with no major issues. I know others have said the same. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a release date of a week or so, but I think that would be a first to release the OS without a new iPhone announcement first.

Ah. So are you saying you would name them off of how many high-power “big” cores they have? I thought you were saying how many cores total.
