Yes, but some people weren’t seeing the section at all. Did they run a placeholder video like that for WWDC? I thought the preshow video was part of the stream last time.

This past WWDC Keynote was the first time that an Apple event has appeared in the TV app, IIRC. Previously they’ve been in the separate Apple Events app. So we’re in uncharted territory now. For some reason Apple added the section for today’s event to the US display for the TV app earlier than for other countries. Intentional? Last minute scramble? Who knows. They generally do have background music for a few minutes before the show starts. Traditionally that’s been whatever’s playing in the auditorium while the audience filters in.

The performance/speed is the last the watch needs, it’s the battery improvements that I would like to see that upgraded. Mainly because, the Apple Watch continues to advance with health sensors and features like AOD, which is continuously using more battery life, and this is where Apple needs to improve. The performance of the Apple Watch is actually over-capable in some aspects, which is more than capable and plenty fast. Even the S4 is still very responsive and fluid.
