The tech press has this narrative that Apple didn’t know what the Watch was for when they first announced it. What Cook said about today the Watch now isn’t that different than what he said when it was announced. I think Apple knew what this product would be/do from day 1.

I hope so. I had to get a new iPhone a few weeks back and immediately updated it to the iOS 14 beta but forgot to pair my watch to my phone before doing so. Now my watch is on os 6 and my iPhone is on iOS 14 and I can't pair them.
