can someone explain the significance of a new programming language?

Okay, the text looks great in English, but it has a lot of baggage over the years and it's kind of inefficient to learn and use. It's also picked up a lot of nonstandard stuff. From now on you should write everything in "Lojban" instead. It's unambiguous because we've reconstructed everything from the ground up and hope you will like it!

That seems to be the aim here, with a no doubt Apple exclusive brand new graphics platform too, Metal..

Trouble is, companies like money and profit from sales, and Androids market share is FAR too big to ignore so we will see how this goes, but I won't be surprised if Metal vanishes in a couple of years.

Kind of how Glide was the premiere programming language, but larger forces took it off the grid (not to mention that 3Dfx died, which isn't going to happen to Apple). Direct X just made it much easier across the board.

Really? learning yet another language to produce code

I'm actually quite excited about this news. I originally bought my first MacBook over a PC so I could try my hand at programming apps on the iPhone, but felt so far behind on learning Objective C and lost interest.

Maybe now, I can find some renewed interest. Sent from my MacBook Pro.

Anyone catch that last panel for IOS8, and that the iPhone 4 was not listed?

EDIT: I guess everyone did..

BL.
