Apple users expect hardware from Apple.

Even at a software conference? OK, well ...

Especially in the iPhone, Double the Battery size, double the thickness, and give me a phone that lasts from a 6AM undocking to a 11pm-12pm re-docking for charge, since the iPhone one, which was fine on battery life due to having no 3G to suck the power, i have been unable to carry just the iPhone around with me, the 3G, 4, and 5 all run out of charge between one and three in the afternoon, so i have to carry a battery pack with me, a charging cable, and remember to hook them up over my lunch hour..

Not at all an intelligent, elegant solution, but adding 50% to the depth of the phone to double the battery life would be.

I agree with one point. The 5/5S are too thin, and, more thickness and more battery would both be welcome. Although I have to say that battery life is OK on the 5S. Which carrier do you use? Verizon? I've always found that GSM phones don't run down the battery as fast in fringe areas.

Im gutted they never said anything about the 'hobby they call it apple tv'

We need a app store!

You would think, with the big push for cross-functionality between OS X and iOS, combined with the big push for video, that ATV would have been in the new software picture somewhere ...

Fantastic Keynote and its content perfectly geared towards the listening crowd. Apple is opening up its iOS and we should see the developers taking advantage of it. This is great news.

And Lilo777 has been banned! Finally! I shall light up a candle in a church!

I don't have one. I'm sold it. Waiting to buy a new one.

I'm now allowed to have expectations or hopes anymore?

Not sure what you were even waiting for. There's no new processors to upgrade the machines with. Even then I would still care about the new OSes even if you don't have a device.

Sorry for the numpty question but isn't the WWDC when apple tend to unveil new products? I'm guessing I'm wrong as they've only revealed software, so when is it we find out possible new products such as a new iMac, iPhone 6 etc?

There is usually a few events around September and October. September has usually leaned towards iTunes and iPods, I expect to see a new iTunes for Yosemite, as for iPods I think we'll see less and less on that front as time moves on.

From there October is usually the time for Mac updates, and with intel finally releasing Broadwell chips "by end of year" I think that will round out the Mac updates for the holiday season, along with the rest of the new product pipeline we'll be seeing in 2014.

Thanks. I'm most interested in seeing whether they update the thunderbolt display tbh, if there's anything new would you expect this at a similar time to new Mac info?

Also, I thought new iphones were mentioned now ready for September releases, guess I've got my times wrong with that too lol ;)

I don't see much from the TB display other than adding TB2. Retina panels aren't anywhere near the required manufacturing yield to introduce them into large panels at mass scale, and I'd imaging Apple wants to roll retina out to their iMac and TB display lines simultaneously in all sizes in one swoop.

I think 2015 is the year that Apple goes full retina in every device.

Usually WWDC is ONLY software but some years they'll release some Hardware and Software like 50/50 split on the time on each ... World Wide Developer Conference = WWDC

Product launches are usually done @ Apple HQ or close by building with seating etc .. we'll know Product launch is coming a week in advance and nothing else .. Apple will send out announcements to the press..

Thanks. Might take the plunge now then as I could be waiting a while.

It's a shame apple don't do trade ins when they bring a new product out ;)

they are guilty of "borrowing" others idea like everyone else in the industry.

the sad part is that before the internet you was able to step ahead for long time and work as hard as you can to achieved that idea and then it wasn't bad competiion steal it from you. today is a weird tech world that competes between unfinished ideas and even if that idea is good it will get old in a minute.

I'll say this: Craigy absolutely killed it.
With boring-to-customers material to work with, he, nevertheless,
made everything seem engaging & fun with genuine-without-being-maudlin enthusiasm.
Much better than Scott "The Joker Grin" Forstall who comes off as,
and according to reports actually is, a smarmy douchebag.

When Steve was running the show (God, I miss him so ....) and Craig was a minimal presence,
whenever he'd appear on stage for a demo, you could see his right hand shaking furiously, he was so nervous.
But it's that nervousness that speaks to his genuine goodness.

Glad to see he's Apple's software face now at events!

Anyone know when the new iCloud pricing goes into effect?
I know its "later this year" but that seems all too vague

I did care. It was just a preference. I'd was hoping for a new form factor or something. Just the "late 2012" idea seems tough to pull the trigger on right now. I don't like doing that.
