Just tried browser changer. Nice concept but it did not change the default browser when in mail. This made it a non-starter for me as I get links through email all the time. Guess I'll be sticking with Safari.

It works fine for me.....I sent myself a link and tapped on it in the mail message. It opened Atomic Web....

I've been using Fullscreen Safari and love it.

I have Atomic browser too, but for now I actually prefer Safari with this tweak.

Which browser did you set it to use? I tried Atomic and Atomic Lite with no success. Perhaps I selected the wrong one. I am using the full version so thought Atomic was the right selection.

No. But I use NoSpot so that doesn't matter to me. If I need to search the web, I wouldn't start in Spotlight anyway.

Why not? Swipe to the left and instant google search? Def faster unless you're already in a browser.

Downloaded and tried out the FullScreen tweak and Atomic Lite. Atomic is a little bit easier to use and more customizable. However, I like to keep things simple and do like how FullScreen is integrated into the iOS web browser. It's not as cool as Atomic but it fits my needs. (My main want was just the fullscreen view). Have mine set with two finger double tap, works great.

Two finger double tap? Where's the option for that?

It works. You need to turn it on in sbsettings.

anyone else notice a bug than when in landscape mode in safari that with this installed none of the bottom controls work (back/forward, new tabs, etc) or they are harder to touch? It could also be sdm I guess? But this is my first time noticing the bug

Yes I noticed that too, right after I installed this. It never happened before. I'm on an iPhone 4 ver 4.01. Also when I double click to zoom on a screen element it zooms too much and I have to double click again to zoom correctly. Very annoying. Anyone else?

Edit: one other thing I noticed. When downloading a file using the download manager plugin and viewing the Safari web page, I can see the number of active downloads on the icon while holding the iPhone vertical. But when I hold it horizontally the number dissappears and I have to tap on the icon multiple times to open download manager. As soon as I rotate the phone vertical I can see the number and can tap it only once to open it.

Another update this morning. Added a new screen gesture, one finger triple tap.

ha! they misspelled it in the settings. ("tripple") guess another update will be out soon. :D

just bought the app and very cool.

Noticed this bug as well, it doesn't happen every time though.

I emailed the dev, hopefully a fix will be out soon.

Is anyone else not using the 2/3 finger swipe gestures.
The only thing comfortable for me is the triple tap to activate/deactivate Fullscreen mode.
I usually view Safari on my iPhone one handed so hoping for more gesture options.

Even when using the phone with two hands I shy away from the 2/3 finger swipes..

Overall, it is a great app and definitely recommended!
After using fullscreen for a while now it really makes a nice difference compared to the default view.

Me too.
Swipe gestures and such don't feel natural to use, so I turned them off(good to see the 'None' option).
The only thing I use that feels as natural as possible, is the triple tap to toggle fullscreen.

I did the same thing. I use one finger double tap to scroll up and one finger triple tap to go in and out of fullscreen mode. The swipe gestures are just too hard to use.

it was hard use at first but you get the hang of it with practice. just be sure to use the indicated "two" or "three" fingers swipe across the entire screen from left to right or vice versa.

Yea swipe gesture are kinda funky I've been using the single finger double tap to toggle fullscreen. Like a few others have said I normally like to surf safari with one hand, double tapping to toggle the Nav bar isn't too big of a deal but it would be nice if they could implement a diff way to go back/forward, I feel like a single finger swipe like when viewing photos would be the easiest way .. Besides that though this has probably turned into one of my most used tweaks

Two finger double tab for full screen works great for me... switching tabs feels pretty awkward though. I use one finger double tap to fit text to the screen, so I didn't want that to be the full-screen toggle.

Here's my setup that works efficiently for me...

2 & 3 finger swipes- go back/forward
2 & 3 finger up- scroll up
2 & 3 finger down- scroll down
1 finger double tap- toggle full screen
1 finger triple tap- reload
2 finger double tap- go to bookmarks
3 finger tap- create empty tab
shake- close current tab

i hope i can switch to next tab by 2 fingers gesture down just like in atomic browser. i dont care about previoustab, when i want togo to previous tab, i just keep hitting the next tab gesture till it's coming back to the previous tab. so no wasted gesture, 1 gesture for the tabs.

This is a great hack, but I had to delete it, because it took away, a lot of efficiency from Safari's double tap to zoom gesture, even when the double tap gesture wasn't being used in the hack.
It made it feel like I was using an Android browser or something. :D
