Funny how a lot of people want gold now

The gold looks more bronze to me... I didn't 'want' the gold per se, but that was what was available at my bestbuy when I ordered at midnight of launch day. Now that I have the AT&T 64GB gold and it seems to be the most sought after, it does make it a bit more desirable. I have always had white phones so as long as the front is white, the color on the back and sides makes little difference to me really.
 
When I first heard the rumor I expected shiny bling.

The end product is quite nice looking and more flat dark earth than gold.

I like it personally.

There are people who are bored from the black and white iphone and want a change :p I like space grey :D
 
A lot of people are getting gold simply because it's a brand new color. (space gray is new too, but is still similar to black)

Just like when white came out for the 4, people jumped on the white because it screams "NEW!"

I would never get gold, but I do think it looks pretty nice.

This is so true. The pics you see online, go from a really garish yellow to a soft beige. Beige being the best. If you walk into the apple store, you'll be hard pressed to see the difference between the silver and the gold right next to one another. But the gold color seems to react to lighting in ways the other two do not.

Personally I ordered silver as well, the gold looks great in person and I'm thinking about switching. And yes I was a gold basher. I like the anodized part of the gold, but the polished gold around the face of the phone and the home button, I don't know if i'm digging that as much. It starts to look bad depending on your wallpaper, or home screen background.

It is unbelievable that everything Apple does they copy immediately.

I think Apple should announce they will be making a nuke, and using it on their own head quarts...

Then just hope Samsung will not only copy, but beat them to the punch.
 
I ordered a gold for my brother and a silver for me. I wanted the gold but I was not willing to wait for it, did it really matter cuz I'm still waiting for the silver.:(
 
Believe it or not, some of us really just like it and aren't getting it to show off or to let everyone see that we have a new phone.

You know the A7 is made by Samsung right? :rolleyes: apple just beat them to the release, but I'm sure they've thought of placing it in their flagship even before the S4 release.

I went to the store and I was very meh about the gold one at first, it's really quite beautiful in person. It's not IN YO FACE gold, but that subtle champagne. But I am still getting the silver :)
 
I actually decided to get the gold the first time I saw it posted on the Mac rumors website. I was tired of the white but I'm not really into gray so I thought what the hell go for the gold. Got it yesterday and I really like it a lot very nice
 
I agree it stands out. It's something different.

That being said mine is in the case.

The only thing I didn't realize is that the ring around the home button is coloured like the rear of the phone so I would probably have wanted silver in hindsight.

I don't see the phone anyway because it's in a case.
