Man, I don't get all the hate. haha! I found Woz always being dismissed hilarious, and the Dell guy in the bar was great. This had some really funny moments in it, if you just enjoy it for a stupid parody. It's low budget, and at times dumb, and my twisted sense of humor had a good time with this. :D

ehh...

That's all I can say.

EDIT -
First 15 minutes are interesting. A Funny way of looking at the early years. Then they introduce bill gates in the most stupid way possible, and then there's a stupid scene of bill and steve hammering Pentium 2 boards and they talk about "programming" then melinda gates walks in... so stupid.

"First 15 minutes are interesting."

Bingo. The

The Einstein / discovery of the atom thing was so utterly ridiculous I almost turned it off.

this room is heaven...

i actually really liked this... especially the alternate reality feel... a pulp fiction style reengineering of steve's life :) ... there's nothing more boring than a simple movie rehash of a biography ... it' was like taking the last drop of Otagawa-san's LSD while watching ;)

LOL... You guys need to loosen up. Seriously.

I didn't expect to like it, but I actually found it rather entertaining in that absurd WTF sort of way :)

The scenes mocking Justin Long were hilarious. The scenes with Bill Gates were amazing, especially the fight. And the VR love scene was ball-achingly cringeworthy and funny.

I started watching it, expecting a good laugh... That didn't happen. I fell asleep, woke up a half hour later, still wasn't funny. Stopped it and rented Django Unchained

The main reason this sucks is because now funny or die is not going to have the balls to do any more big projects after this. :apple: It seems to score about 90% DIE on the site.

it's dreadful.

Literally painful and not funny, looks like it was neither funny or die whatever the F that might mean.

The part with Michael Dell speaking to Jobs at the bar had my eyes watering.

"At Dell we're not trying to change the world. We're just trying to make cheap ass computers for cheap ass college students!"

:p

blown away so many people are a) offended by a movie that is clearly made as a joke (if the website wasn't obvious enough) and b) care this much

it's a joke, it's got it's moments. laugh, don't laugh - at most **** about it being "accurate"

You're blown away because you're confused. Maybe you and I are reading two different threads but I don't see many people being "offended" here. I see a whole bunch of people who watched it expecting it to be funny and it wasn't, not because it was offensive but simply because the comedic value didn't exist.

I watched most of it this morning then suffered thru the last of it just now.

It has like 5 chuckle moments. And that's it. Could have been hilarious, it wasn't.

It could be edited to 5-10 minutes and be ok, otherwise it's thrown together junk that might have been semi humerous on paper but was not, just lame watch it if you think I am exaggerating, If you can. The few funny parts are not worth the wait.

I was greatly offended by this insipid portrayal of Steve Jobs. The man was not a joke people. He was a crazy ones, a misfit, a rebel, a, a round pegs in a square hole

Someone who saw things differently.

He wasn't fond of rules.

You can quote him, disagree with him, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore him because he changed things. He pushed the human race forward.

And while some may see him as a crazy ones, I see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

And Steve Jobs changed the world. My life will never be the same now that I own an iPad and an iPhone. I can access my Facebook account from anywhere.

But one thing Steve Jobs was not, was a joke. HOW DARE YOU, FUNNY OR DIE! I HATE YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!

Anyway, I give this movie a C+. Would've been a solid B, but it does outstay its welcome after 40 minutes or so.

Also I give myself an A++ for using the same joke twice around here.

it was so absurdly bad, but the script made it hilarious

typical funny or die - but the length of it made it seem to drag on forever

or maybe i just have ADD

Just wasn't very funny

Kept waiting for it to get funny, made it through to about 30 minutes which is probably 25 minutes longer than I should have. One or two laughs which is a poor return on both sides. Such a shame.

I watched it all... yes I made it through it. But I can confirm that it doesn't get better... There are many scenes I just found awkward and not funny. I'm disappointed, there was a little hype around this and the fact that they had some pretty good actors in it (Justin Long and Jorge Garcia), made me think this might not be so bad, but it was a let down...

The only moment I found funny was when Steve is discussing who should play the "Mac" in the ads and there is the "Jeepers Creepers" on TV with "Justin Long" and when Steve brings up the TV guide, the movie is rated half a star. I briefly chuckled at that.

As others have said, it's a shame, it could have been so much better, but I guess they should have increased the writing/filming time by a few days...
