Perspective, folks... perspective....

Listen... if you knew as much as the average Joe does about the actual people, history, and technology, then this would probably be a ton more entertaining.

The problem with most of us watching it is that there are fifty things in every scene that are either historically inaccurate, incongruous with what we know about the subjects, or just blatant anachronisms.

This wasn't for US any more than Hot Shots! was for Naval Aviators.

All that said, I made it through... enjoyed it at least as much as a network sit-com. Whatever that means.

So laughably inaccurate.
Getting with Melinda Gates (or trying).
The awkward virtual reality sex.
Billy Corgan coming up with every apple product... lol.

So factually incorrect but had to watch.

Last two photos stating this was entirely fiction was cool.
Glad to see they didn't take it too seriously.

The movie was fun. Not always FunNY - but definitely fun.

I can see how some people on here fail to see humor in it (nor anything that doesn't canonize Jobs and the true history of Apple).

That being said - they weren't going for anything other that satire and absurdity. If you miss that - you won't find it enjoyable to watch.

The movie itself isn't really laugh-out-loud funny; the humor is in the completely absurd and inaccurate retelling of Steve's life.

Well put. It's an absurdist comedy which is a hard sell for some people. The people on this board that don't 'get it' just don't share the sense of humor that the makers of this film have. It's not about sitcom or fart joke belly laughs, it's more subtle. Tim and Eric also have a style of humor that is inaccessible for a lot of people. Heck, Justin Long's terrible bald head wig and fake beard should tell you right off the bat that this isn't going to be an accurate portrayal of anything relating to Steve Jobs.

There we some very clever scenes and writing in this movie that I really enjoyed. Just the scene where Steve signs over 51% of Apple to John Scully, who is secretly working for Commodore computers, after meeting him at the urinal and who ousts Steve the very next morning was some great clever writing.

If you haven't watched it, watch it. It's free.

Funny. My 13yo was laughing the entire portion he saw when he managed to rip himself away from Minecraft. (maybe 20 minutes) Found the Commodore/Sculley scenes absolutely hilarious. Surprised there was no joke about SJ's $1 salary, or a "perhaps I can be of assistance" reference. No need to rewatch, but it provided approximately what I expected for an hour +.

People here are way too into their electronics and the people who make them, apparently, can't allow humor around them.

I just watched it. I'm pleasantly surprised. Much better than I thought. Woz was my favorite. Poor Woz :(

I really enjoyed it.

Im amazed that people actually expected it to be factually accurate :s

Is some of this actually accurate? Like the 51% portion with Sculley? Apparently, I live 20 minutes away from Commodore :D

That's not Woz

Don't like at all how they depicted Woz...not funny at all. Too large, too timid. He's the one that thought of building the computer.

I know it's all fiction, using real people as characters, but it would've been funnier if Woz's character was really the cool guy and built up Jobs.

That said, there was little funny in the whole thing. I actually thought Justin did a decent acting job, tho.

Ok folks I get the complaints about the Woz character, but really this is a Funny or Die! production.. it's meant to be cheap, funny, insane. Lower your expectations and they enjoy the comedy. I'll probably watch it again just because the historical depictions and convolutions are, well, pretty funny! I mean Melinda Gates?? What? 48 hour challenge indeed.

Satire. Woz was the brains - Jobs was the marketing guy. The point of satire/absurdism is to play on that and turn it inside out.

Sounds like it's time for you to sit down and write a script.

When casting, it’s as though these companies think “Oh, you look like a fat, hairy ’tard with glasses. Wozniak it is! Perfect.”

What a joke.

This is either:
a) nicely framed meta-commentary
b) evidence that you missed the entire point of the site and movie

Okay, I just saw it, and watched it knowing it was going to be really bad movie. But it turns out it's not. There were some funny quotes in there.
