Ahh, a fellow Rush fan? I never thought of using some Rush titles for my SSID. Nice idea.

I've used tons of them, and I also use Rush song names for computer names, printer names, etc. On my network I have Cygnus X1 and X2, ByTor and the Snow Dog, and more. On one old router, I called the network Moving Pictures. 🙂

I thought Spirit of Radio seemed appropriate, given the broadcast media being used. I also think my fandom may have crossed that fine line into obsession. My friends though I hit that point years ago when I got the 2112 tag on my car. 😀

"Wereprobablyworkingout"

"Testiculars"

"Areyoustealingmywifi?"

Three that are up right now. I live in a University city, so there are dozens of wi-fi networks around my place.

Mine is called Inner Space. Everyone else's around me is pretty pedestrian: just a bunch of people using their default linksys or 2WIRExxx SSIDs or setting them to be their street addresses for god knows what reason.

Bunch of boring yuppie larvae in my neighborhood.

WARNING or VIRUS (some bad windows virus) is what I call my internet sharing network. I have a virtual machine with that virus on it if I am not sharing the internet with a PC user.

My current one is "Installing Conflicker 89%"

I actually named mine PoopasaurusRex because though I will be going off to college this year, you cannot help but laugh at the immature. You need to always go back to your roots. 🙄

There's plenty who think they're funny on our street but none really are.

My favourite unsecured wifi story is one that happened to me. When I went to college in 2004 I had an Airport Express in my room hooked up to my hifi for AirTunes. I left it unsecured because WiFi was still relatively uncommon in 2004 (at least here). I also didn't mind people using my connection because most people had it in their room anyway.

Anyways one night I left my hifi on, network unsecured and around 4am starting blasting out...

Afternoon Delight by Starland Vocal Band

Freaked me out, mmlol and the network was secured shortly after 🙂

Maybe it's not terribly funny, but back before I moved out of the country, my network was called The Bourne Identity, my wireless iTunes was called The Bourne Supremacy, and my wireless printer connection was called The Bourne Ultimatum.
