Furious Mod for Gevey on iOS 5

A Miracle?

OK, a miracle just happened. I have an iPhone4 that is O2 locked and I used to use gevey sim to use t-mob sim. I upgraded to iOS 5.0.1 and my gevey sim start to act funny and didn't work, and if I just press the "accept" button I will get signal for 2-4 minutes and the a no sim error pops up. I kept on trying different gevey methods non worked. So I took the gevey sim out and button an original O2 sim it didn't detected it, so I put the tmobile one in and it worked perfectly without gevey sim I am ever so happy... and if any of guys face the same problem as me feel free to try what I did and it may work.:D:D:D
 
I have tried installing the custom furiousmod and tried upgrading to 2.0 and it worked with the automatic method
 
which version to use?

seems all versions are useful but 1.0.2 is slightly more popular :)

Hey fellers, just wondering what versions should I use for my x3Groove version (fake) gevey ultra ? What is the difference between the versions, I cant find any changelogs anywhere. Will version 2.0 work? Thanks
 
Hi all!

I have the same problem of a lot of people have, my gevey is fake (x3 groove). I saw that keyoke put a link of his repospace for download the repo with 1.0.2 version (I think this is the version which works with my gevey) but i cant download it because my cydia source tells me that cant be found this repo.

Any help or can somebody upload the repo to mediafire like mcbaron do with his?

I used Keyokes 1.0.2 ios5 furiousmod and it works perfectly 100% every time. Excellent work Keyoke!!! Thanks.

I originally had ios 4.3.3 with furiousmod 1.0.2 and had loads of problems if I had to reboot the iphone, would hang on apple logo, had to remove sim, reboot, play around with airplane mode, carrier, insert/remove original sim to get it working again. It was a nightmare!

With keyokes and ios 5, every reboot work perfectly! I dont get the welcome screen (never have), it searches for about 15 seconds, screen goes black, 20 seconds later 'no sim...' message is displayed which disappears after about 5 seconds and bingo signal pops up about 5 seconds after that!

dont know if ios 5 helped or if it was keyokes hack.

Official FuriousMod 2.0 from cydia.furiousmod.com here, works v well w/ untethered JB 5.0.1/preserved 4.10.01 baseband.. genuine gevey here.

I'm on ios 5.0.1 iphone4 bb 04.10.01 with gevey ultra(got it from ebay)
I am experiencing this strange behavior with every furiousmod version posted over here and even with the last official 2.0 one. I lose signal every time i move around in the city.
SO i guess it has to do with switching cells(towers) to which the iphone connects too.If i stay in one place it never does that,even in places with very low signal perception it stays connected to the network.
A friend of mine told me it might be one of cydia tweaks but i'm not sure.Before restoring the firmware i wanted to ask you guys here.

DO you have any idea to why it does this?

Well glad that worked for you.. but how long will it remian working? I'm sure that won't last long until you restart or reset or even remove the sim for any reason.. it's a temporary success, i think.

sorry for picking up that old thread. I have a iPhone 4 iOs 5.1.1 jb with 4.10.01 bb.. My furiousmod worked perfectly on 5.0.1.. Now it doesn´t work anymore..

Somebody has the same issue?

I have the same issue too, for some reason Furious Mod version 2.0 doesn't seem to work in iOS 5.1.1, tried reinstalling and following the steps several times now to no vail.

I have the same issue, and in addition I can't unlock manually (dial 112 etc). Exact same info as guy above, and using original Gevey Ultra from applenberry.com. Everything worked fine on ios 5.0.1. This sucks.
 
Until now it doesn't support 5.1.1, the last version it does 5.1
So you should wait until it's confirmed. This link can help you when it's available

Yea, I just found out the same. That's not too good. It seems like it would just be a commcenter patch though. 112 works but it's not untethered.

Maybe one of the guys from this thread which adapted the last furiousmod version to iOS 5 can take a look at it ?! ;):)
 
It seems like applenberry fixxed the problem.. Cydia just showed me an furiousmod Update which said that furiousmod is now working on 5.1.1. Just installed it, rebooted the phone : et voilà, Works perfect again!! :)
 
Would it be possible for anyone to modify the furiousmod 1.0.2 to work for iOS 5.1.1 like it did for 5.0.1? I have a x3groove gevey that only works with furiousmod 1.0.2 .. I would like to upgrade to 5.1.1 if possible..
 
Glad to know there was an update. I wonder why only the 1.0.1/1.0.2 versions work with the x3groove Gevey Ultras.

Hmmmm,

looks like that furiousmod is down..
Cydia can not help and i believe that www.furiousmod.com domain is expired..
At this moment unlock is impossible because of that..

Can anybody help?

But I'm still hoping someone can help with making furiousmod 1.0.2 work with 5.1.1

Gevey Sim works on iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1 with Preserved Baseband03.10.01.
You can also use Gevey Ultra & install FuriousMod 2.1 for untethered unlock. Add repo h**://cydia.furiousmod.com to install FuriousMod 2.1 iphone 5 and 5.1.1
 
I'm still looking for a solution as well. $30 is a bit steep to upgrade to 5.1.1 as I'm still on 4.3 and require manual unlock each time.
 
Finally Autounlock for Gevey clones on 5.1.1

I was tired to wait and beg for support so i make a little research myself and voila, i found the way to autounlock my clone Gevey on 5.1.1 (preserved baseband) Iphone 4.
The name of the solution is UltraSnowCN and the version that worked for me was the 1.6b5 (didn't try another anyway :p)
Remove any Furiousmod you have installed.
Add scource http://cydia.myrepospace.com/ab0nic/ and then nstall the UltrasnowCN
After install power off the device and power on again, seaching will show up then No Service after 30-45 seconds press OK on the "No Sim Card Installed" message and you are done :)
