Technically the atomic composite probably has more aluminum than the raw does!
I have no signal issues with the fusion. Check my video. Reception is probs like this:

1.Atomic composite (not all aluminium)
2.Fusionwerkz Raw
3.Vapor
4.Atomic
5.Alumacase

If you want an all aluminium case and want the best signal then the Raw is the way to go! The atomic is just a plastic case with a bit of aluminium and is not an aluminium case in my book.

Good night.

it does not matter what they make them out of as long as it works - the delrin is "metal" to anyone else but us macrumor idiots - and every one of those cases above except the hybrid kills the signal. But don't worry, I'm sure element and FW will do a composite case soon.

I'm going to be working on an aluminum metal case for the iPhone 4 in a few weeks when I get some off time. It's going to be a molded together case like the CandyShell. It will feature an aluminum or metal outside and a very thick soft silicone like material on the inside. Will post some pics If I ever get around to doing it.

Just ordered my raw with the new silver finish. I guess there were problems with the silver and black but Phil says the new silver is beautiful. I'll post my thoughts and a pic when I get it -- for anyone still interested other than to debate which is better.

Got my silver raw yesterday. It really makes the iPhone look nice. I won't go into details because it's all been covered but I haven't noticed any signal loss and I'm in a pretty low signal area.
The one thing I do have to say is that Phil at fusion has been great at returning emails and answering questions.

i liked the look of the cases until i got my Vapor. I guess the thing that is most appealing to me about the vapor is the fact that it does not overlap the screen at all. I hate the cases that overlap because it makes it difficult to move icons from page to page sometimes.

Just my opinion.

And yes, the vapor degrades my signal, but after a week of using it, I only dropped 1 call, and it was in an area with extremely poor coverage anyway.

Just received one for review yesterday.

For those wondering about the safety of the iPhone in the RAW case, here's a video of me dropping mine from about shoulder height onto a tile bathroom floor. Pardon the video quality, as it was taken with a Droid! Hey, it's all I had with me at the time.

Here's an upclose shot of the damage done with the corner impact.

So as you can see, even on a corner impact, the phone can be protected with this case. After witnessing this in action first hand (obviously!), I'd feel safe doing it over and over.

And for those that haven't yet seen it, here's a link to Larry Greenberg's (GearDiary) review of the Raw.

I think the Atomic Hybrid, the Element Vapor, and the Fuzionwerks Raw all suck, I think I'm gonna go with the Blade or the e13tron.

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, but oh well, my opinion counts.

Hybrid certainly doesn't suck - may not be your style, but if you liked the look of the vapor it gives you all the look with none of the reception issues.

I'm currently in possesion of an e13ctron case - love the look and feel of it, but still haven't had an opportunity to do more thorough testing/video review it. There's definitely SOME impact on reception, definitely not as much as the atomic all aluminum or alumacases.

Yeah, please post some more pictures if you can . I'm really interested to know more about it.

I am interested in the results too. Probably not for the same reasons others are but still interested. The case looks good, just not sure about the owner though. I am looking forward to the blade too.

Anyone has better picture of orange?
I see that blue is little bit dull and less shiny.

I am still debating between FireRed or BurntOrange.
I have seen good firered color but not burnt orange ones.
also, anyone has close up picture of Yellow?
I have seen the pictures from fusionwerkz but I want the customer's pictures to help me decide.
Thank you all in advance.

you should look into the e13ctron case before you order a raw. the raw has much more reported problems with reception and the e13ctron case looks better imo.

Just thought I'd post these pictures of the new composite side inserts for the Raw case from Fusionwerkz. These side pieces are slotted on the back so that they slide into the case during installation, and in addition to that, they have an adhesive (removable and reusable) backing so that they also adhere to the antenna of the iPhone itself. This is just to provide an additional, secondary form of attachment. These are purely for aesthetic/comfort/grip reasons, and do not help with any reception (although, as you can see in my original review of this case, I have minimal signal impact with it anyway). They definitely give the case a different look, and provide a much nicer feel when gripping. The harshness of the edges of the case when holding has been a frequent complaint of this case...these were made primarily to address that. For anyone using this case, they are definitely a good (and relatively cheap!) addition.

Your on top of it for sure, I also received my inserts via free shipping. You've definitely stepped up to the plate on the reviews, good job.

Thanks! I'm trying to get better at it. I actually enjoy it. I have a few more things a couple of new companies are sending me next week, so I'll have even more write ups coming. So you got these inserts? How do you like them?

Their fine, but in my case I had no problem with the grip aspect of the RAW case. For those that did this is the solution.

edit: Your camera work now is spot on :D.

can anyone who has had contact with FusionWerkz give me the email account?
I have to contact them immediately but they don't respond to my messages I have been sending from the email provided on the site!
