Yeah, cause pronouncing Mavericks or Ventura is SOOOO difficult. . Let's just call it ONE, TWO, THREE. Just to be sure nobody makes a mistake. WAIT, somebody else is already doing it. Oh, well... Anyway, Yosemite isn't that hard to pronounce. It's famous, there are documentaries made about it. It's just like Treme, really. Once you hear it and say a couple of times it becomes natural

As long as they don't have a "th" sound in the name, I doubt many people will have trouble with it.

I started with Tiger, and the only one i didn't like down the road was Lion. Because it ruined Expose and introduced stupid things like Launchpad (although the Expose problem was bigger for me because while i could just hide and delete Launchpad i couldn't go back to classic expose and spaces) Apple is not like Microsoft releasing new systems every 5 years. It has always made little steps year by year. I can't understand what's your problem, really. Mavericks is an astonishing system. It runs like paradise even on my old 2007 iMac.

For the 10000000th time. VERSIONS are NOT MATH. 10.10 is 10.1 in MATH, not in software versions

They should keep os x for a few years before moving on.

The new OS X 10.10 will be called OS X Yosemite. I got a source that confirmed it this morning.

What source? Give me a link.

If the are going for the FLAT GUI, how ironic is it to use a mountain for it's logo?

the picture is of a cliff not a mountain. True, the cliff is the side of a mountain, but it is still only a cliff. But, that cliff is very, very flat, as you know. Therefore, that is another hint that it will be a flat GUI!

Such wow, much world

LOL Are you for real? It's an American company based in California. Wow just wow.

You miss the point, a Lion is not a defined location. Mavericks and Yosemite are delimited locations in the US. Anyway, go California go. You like it or not.

So, in your mind was Lion too "Africa centered?" And was that a problem for such a global company?

OS-X Ten-Eleven Mojave.

My Swag is on Mojave for the next OS-X version(10.11) - Then Sequoia & Mammoth. => Ocean, Mountain, Desert, Forest, Snow - A clear progression, with a distinct visual motif for each. Check back in three or four years! But by then, the iOS/OSx merger will probably bring Apple to another series, S-Xi?
