It shuts off when I'm using my phone.

It shuts off when I'm trying to enter my Wifi password.

It shuts off when I was trying to run speedtest.

It doesn't remember my Wifi password.

I get a pop up that says "Wifi Powering off" sometimes.

It goes on/off by itself for no reason.

After 3 reboots, it seems to be working again.

Weird.

If you are on at&t, try turning off the att smart wifi app.

So for those who have had their note II for a few weeks now. What is the verdict on size? Have you gotten used to it or does it still feel giant to use, carry, and talk on?

It's the perfect size.
No way you can go back to a smaller phone.

Note II, greatest phone on earth! :D

Lol I'm debating on getting it for the battery life. My nexus isn't impressing on the battery enough. I don't want to have to worry about battery. For example, I brought my charger with me today because I don't think it will make it until I get back home. I am a heavy users. Sigh. What to do. I think I can get the sane software experience for the most part on the note with a little effort.

The battery is awesome.
I have yet to run out of battery on my phone yet.
I use my phone pretty regularly throughout the day with pandora running in the background and other stuff at full brightness during the day and about 25% at night.
I do have a backup battery just in case but I've yet to use it.

YMMV

Size is perfect for consuming information; emails and web browsing is phenomenal as I don't have to squint or put the phone right in front of my face to read things.

Carrying the device is a different issue, as I've found in certain situations I can't leave the phone in my jeans or coat pocket (sitting down, driving, etc.). I mostly use bluetooth or handsfree when I'm on the phone but I'd imagine the Note 2 would cover the entire side of my face if I was to hold it up.

And its still worth it with the difficulty carrying it? Sounds like it is to you.

Still undecided as of now, but I think the benefits on this device surpasses the little issues I might encounter through daily usage. In the end I'd suggest using the device for a week or so and see how the Note works in your lifestyle.

Size is a non issue. I carry and use it like any other phone. Once its in my pocket, I forget about it. After a couple weeks, its still comfortable to hold when browsing or talking on the phone for long periods. As an everyday device, it's perfect for me.

The only time I think I'd want to swap for a smaller device is for outdoor activities, snowboarding, hiking, amusement parks.. lol (afraid it'll get damaged).

Thanks. I'm about to check one out at best buy. I might buy tonight and compare with the nexus.

please give us your feedback :)

Sure, this was my third or fourth time using one. I thought the glossy plastic felt very slippery. That combined with the size wasn't for me compared to the Nexus. Also, holding them side by side I couldn't help but to notice how much better the Nexus looked. Even the worker at best buy mentioned how nice it looked and that she shouldn't say that because she wants me to obviously buy the note 2. ;-) I also just decided once and for all that didn't want to have to root/hack/ flash or anything in between to get a pure vanilla Android experience. Therefore, even though I would love the Nexus battery to last as long as the note 2, I'm sticking with the Nexus 4. Plus if the charging orbs ever materialize I'll have it on there all day and it won't be a problem. Just my thoughts.

Edit: screen quality on the Nexus is much better IMHO. I prefer LCD all day everyday.

Edit 2: reviewers have mentioned this too and I don't know what it is but the nexus 4 screen just feels so smooth. And the curved glass at the edges feels great when swiping throughout the OS and in apps.

I had to weigh between those options as well when deciding between the Note and the Nexus. Latest hardware, pure android, lcd, no contract. You really cant go wrong either way. Both phones have positives that stand out from all other handsets.

Agreed! Both great devices. The fact that it comes down to small things being the deciding factor is a great thing and it says a lot about how far android has come.

What an awesome phone. I ended up returning mine though. Couldn't get over the size. Other than that, the S-Pen was fantastic.

Anyone else notice how ridiculous the VZW branding on their Note 2 is? :p

I just can't get over the screen size, way too big for my liking. Whatever floats your boat though.

Off course man, the Note is a cross over device so it's always going to be a love it or hate piece of hardware. I own one and i the screen love real estate but it just feels a little to big to handle.

walmart wireless is running a special 250+ 100$ gift card. I am thinking about ordering it on a new line and canceling right away and just paying the etf would come to about $500 before taxes/fees

Make sure you are comfortable with the size of the phone before any commitments.

Can't decide if I want to buy this phone, and put my S3 on eBay. Or keep my S3, and hold out for next years phones. Decisions, decisions...
