Who is interested in the Galaxy S25 Edge?

I find it interesting, rumors about the cameras may and that they have said that it has specifications of the ultra in a smaller device makes me interested to see what it is.

I wonder why they are calling it the Edge? They had that name in the past and it meant that the edge of the display was curved, I don't think that is the case with the upcoming phone.

What a complete cop-out. They had the chance to resurrect the legendary Galaxy S8 design with this device but instead they took a few mm off the already boring S25 line. Did they fire their product design department recently?

Wonder if the S25 Edge will have a tougher display and/or a less slippery back, cause the whole point of getting it would be to use naked.

I was until the 3900mah battery rumor appeared. That would be too low, but we shall see abroad real life battery stats.

Looking forward to seeing what the S25 edge has to offer...

My initial thoughts:
  • 3900 mAh battery is too small.
  • Don't mind the lack of telephoto, but that 12MP macro is starting to feel old.
  • Glad to see they are sticking with titanium. Really sad that the iPhone 17 Pro is supposedly going to aluminum.
  • Upgraded glass durability is nice, but did they not do the anti-glare of the S25 Ultra?

I want a small phone
This doesn't seem like a "small" phone. Is it the weight or the screen size that you want to shed?

S25 is one of the lightest phones you can get. Doesn't have the 200 MP main camera but still has telephoto. And the larger battery and smaller screen will most likely get you more SoT daily.

Or you can go Flip 6. Weighs a bit more, but is taller and narrower. Or you could go with a Pixel 9a/9/9 Pro. Lots of options.

As it's probably due to silicon-carbon battery which is denser in energy keeping I don't see a reason for making phones slimmer - keep the same size and just pack more battery allowed by this technology. Every customer will be happy with that.

I see the appeal of thinner phones...i really do. But it should not come at the expense of battery life.

I also would rather have a phone that is thicker with more battery life and no camera module wobble.

I don't really see the point in these Edge/Air phones at all. And it will be really funny if people add battery packs to them.
I think it’s a symbol of what engineering can achieve… I know we are all so infatuated by battery life, but from an engineer’s perspective their ambitions are toward thin and light.

From the days of CRT Monitors… imagine living in that world yesterday to waking up today, it’s crazy how far we have come.

£1,099 is a tough sell certainly when that's when s25 ultra costs at moment.

That 3900 mah battery is tough to justify
