First full day battery use
4 hours SOT with 32% left.
So I am guessing to get around 6hrs SOT with normal use.
Seems about the same as my Pixel 9XL

I watched it and it's funny because the point he made is exactly my thought. With the new battery technology, I don't want to thinner phone with the same battery. I want the same size phone with battery that lasts me 2 days.
So you want an S26 Ultra with Silicon Carbide and no change to physical dimensions :)

I expect OEM's may well release a 2026 Pro/Ultra option with extended battery endurance for an extra $100-150

The S25 edge may well of been a killer device with Silicon Carbide but the increased price point may of hindered sales greatly

I want my Fold 7 to be thinner with similar endurance and not what mkbhd suggests everyone wants a thicker and greater endurance phone

mkbhd just likes seeding doubt to suit his own agenda of late

suppose the issue is if these really thin phones have silcone carbon batteries with like 5000/5300 batteries would take away from their high end ultra phones i guess

I would really love this phone with a smaller 6.5 inch screen. That, combined with the thinness and lightness, would be awesome.

I love the S25 Edge...it is a great phone. So thin and light! I can hardly tell it is in my pocket most of the time.
i picked up my S25 Ultra and Pixel 9XL today and WOW...they seem so heavy and bulky after using the Edge for a few days.
To be honest. I am surprised the battery life has been as good as it has been the last couple of days mostly on WiFi and good cellular connection.
The real test comes tomorrow when i go to the office with no WiFi in a large building with so so cell connection.
More to come.....

How was it on cellular then?

If I am not wrong, the Edge should have similar battery time to the normal 16 pro?

At least on Amazon the 512GB model of the Edge has been discounted to the same price as the 256GB model. At least for now.

$799 for Prime Day. Sitting in my cart, debating all my life's choices. Same-day delivery is not helping my impulse control issues.

Edit: I managed to wait long enough until it said overnight delivery, so now I feel better about not buying anything until I hear the Fold 7 announcement.

The 512GB model is now £899 on Amazon. I wonder if that gives any credence to the idea that the model hasn’t sold very well. As that’s a lot less than the Ultra that’s been on sale longer.

People like cameras and battery life in my experience of talking to non techy friends, and I guess they are worried that it won't last all day.
