but, boy, is it still huge.
Yep. Weight doesn't mean much when you still can't use it one-handed. It seems like they had the tech to make it slim because of their work on folding phones, so they figured they might as well go for it. But I don't think they put enough thought into who the target market is. The ergonomics just don't work. I have short, stubby fingers and pain in my thumbs from 40+ years of video games. This doesn't solve any of those issues. I would love an iPhone-mini size Galaxy or Pixel.

We all have our preferences....But i think weight does matter even if you can't use a phone one handed or not. Weight matters a great deal. My S25U is bigger than my 16PM but weighs less. So i can use it longer and not get hand fatigue.

But i do see your need for a smaller size phone to hold in your hand...but still want it to have flagship specs.
I think there is a niche marketplace for that product. Or maybe not so niche?

Gets a fairly good review here but is criticised for its steep pricing, and for not using the latest battery tech for such a small battery. It’s battery life though behind the other S25 models isn’t as bad as they seem to have expected it to be.

I would have been interested if it was cheaper and either had better battery tech or faster charging.

Is it me or is his back handed endorsement means you have to watch the whole clip to find out it's ok but he does not really care as he likes foldables, super dull and annoying IMO
I usually catch his videos so I didn't really notice that but obviously he's a heavy user and he did mention that this phone is definitely not targeted for that type of user with the way Samsung went with the battery

funny though all youtubers in reality don't really care about battery life. They just pick up one of their other phones to carry on their day lol

Haha oh yeah don't think they need battery topping off unless they are testing a new device. Usually have a few phones within reach..

Zolotech in his most recent Apple video mentions he gets the same battery life on his S25 Edge as his 16 Pro Max which is impressive. It’s in this video below, he also mentions using such a thin phone feels fresh & new.

I received my S25 edge today! first impressions are how thin and light it is compared to my 16Pm and S25U and P9XL.
It is so light and easy to hold for a phone with a 6.7 display. The performance is amazing as well. It might just be me and the new shiny phone syndrome.....but it feels faster and apps seems to respond faster than my other phones.
Cant really test battery yet as it has only been a few hours.

Think that’s more embarrassing for 16 pro max. Have felt the battery life has got worse on the iPhone as year has gone on

I will say that Samsung makes it so easy to backup and restore their phones with SmartSwitch.
I can have one 512 GB USB C drive and back up my s25U and S25E to the same drive. Both backups are encrypted and separate.
I restored my s25U (pre OneUI 8 beta) to the new S25E and it was so fast and easy.

I've been meaning to explore Samsung's backup options. I can back up my phone on OneUI 7 and then update to 8 beta, and if I don't like it easily restore back to my OneUI 7 back up?

Yes....I do that all the time. I can experiment with a beta and see what is coming in the full release product for short time. Then when i get bored with the any of the beta bugs....I can reset and restore to my last backup from smart switch

I watched it and it's funny because the point he made is exactly my thought. With the new battery technology, I don't want to thinner phone with the same battery. I want the same size phone with battery that lasts me 2 days.

My same thoughts and feelings, give me the thin phone with the OnePlus battery and it would knock it out the park easily.
