My iPhone 7+ and Apple Watch are on sabbatical while I frolic with my S8+ and Gear S3 Frontier.

Samsung makes cool stuff. Haven't been on android for 2 years. Some things I really missed. Other things not so much.

And the S8 screen and design are damn ridiculous. The amount of display packed onto such a tiny device is a game changer for the industry.

Roll this around in your noodle. It's a freaking 6.2" display that feels more like an iPhone 7 than a phablet or 7+.

I dig it.

yeah its amazing what they have fit in that body. makes me excited for the iPhone 8.

gear S2 watch is very good as i had that previously but apps on the dock i would miss that completely if i ever went away from the apple watch and i love the unlocking my macbook pro with my apple watch. another great feature.

AOD is a great feature that i like on the S8

And how convenient you didn't mention that apple's iPhone has a history of exploding as well. Apple also has a history of pushing out software updates that damn near brick your phone. Bottomline is both Apple and Samsung have their fair share of F ups. How they respond and if they learn from the issue is what's important
Thank you for showing your bias, I rest my case.

You don't understand the degree to which Note 7 explosion caused a safety crisis when you compare Note 7 explosion to any other minor safety issues. To Note 7's debacle, there is not historical precedence, from any manufacturer, Apple or not.
But you would never accept that, because we are not having an objective discussion. But you keep on marching and being awesome.

If it wasn't for iMessage and facetime, I'd probably try the Samsung myself, but I'm too plugged into the Apple ecosystem to go back to android.
Personally I am trying to disentangle myself as much as possible from the ecosystem coz if the iPhone Edition is priced out of my reach I would have to get the Note 8/S8

I am loving my S8. Amazing screen, so bright and clear. Samsung really knows how to make an OLED display. Waterproof, headphone jack, and USB C. Wireless charging works great with my 4 year old Nokia chargers. Blazingly fast. Comes with 64GB, and 256 GB SD thrown in with free Galaxy VR headset.

Still some issues. Bixby is semi-worthless and they dedicated a button to it! Finger print sensor too close to camera. But having a case helps that by giving you tactical feedback to the edge of the button.

I'm starting to appreciate Bixby as a quick info hub. It works well in that regard and does show some learning capabilities on how I use my my phone. It's clearly a beta though.

Since getting a case that has a raised Ridge around the camera it helps guide my finger to the print reader but it's still not as ergonomic as Apple's placement.

Though the iris scanner is quite fast and operating at around 85 percent on the first try for me. Sometimes before the sensor gui loads it reads my eyes and unlocks the phone. It's that quick.

I'd have ordered it in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. I almost ordered it yesterday for pick-up this morning, but want to hear people's thoughts on the sensor first.

My phone spends a lot of time on the kitchen worktop, bedside table or on a table - all places where getting to a rear sensor would be a pain.

And I just don't think the retina thing is a go-er.

For me, it's a fail. If Apple manages to keep it on the front of the new iPhone, I'll take back everything I've said about Apple not being forward-thinking and innovative anymore.

If they put it on the back, they're worse than Samsung.

Best ever but no figures? They're Amazon now.

Or Apple. Still not seen any Apple Watch figures.

Seems like Samsung is taking a page from Apples book with regard to not announcing the launch sales.

Showing my biased even tho I have an S8+ and iPhone? And an Apple TV? And probably gonna be getting me a MacBook very soon? But I'm biased b/c I don't join in with the usual "everything Samsung does automatically sucks/Apple is better" crowd? Yeah ok buddy. There have been several stories of people's iPhones going up in flames. Lets not act like its never happened. And thank you for admitting that I am awesome
