nice little additions like seeing the number of items in of a folder in the "get info" dialog plus the possibility to share/not share and backup/not backup there as well

Going to have to go negative on this one...

NDA abuse or worse. Can't condone this sort of thing.

As a positive, at least they didn't uncover all of the new goodies in this build...

Path bar for finder, spaces details, time machine details (some) and stacks views all look great! I can't wait for this release, looks VERY clean!

There really wasn't much there that you couldn't see on Apple.com, and the stuff that's not on Apple.com isn't that exciting to begin with.

I do like the new Photo Booth effects though... and that sources thing in Front Row looks strange..

don't think I'm breaking my NDA since this has been seen and talked about on Apple's website.

The sources in the Front Row is for browsing other iTunes libraries on your LAN.Just like on :apple:TV :)

They would release Leopard on October 32nd if October only had 32 days :D

So true! And, of course, Leopard was originally slated for release this "Spring", which had everyone scrambling to figure out when that season actually ended only to be told that the iPhone's development necessitated the little delay until October... :(

So, Leopard will now be released from its cage on October 31st and we should have it by Thanksgiving, which, for my British friends, is the fourth Thursday in November... :)

As long as it's worth all of the advance hype and has all of the cool features in the pics in this post, the interminable waiting will be worth it! :)

I think the title bars are a little too dark. They don't go well with the rest of the windows.

Other than that, looks great EXCEPT FOR THAT UGLY ****ING MENU BAR.

Whoever designed that thing deserves to be fired and forced to work for Vista.

I hope it is more flexible than the :apple:TV streaming in that it doesn't require pairing or having the media present in iTunes.

Otherwise, boo hiss!

Some great, some ugly

Ok, I like the blurred out stuff when sheets come up, and the new dock looks amazingly awesome, but those new folders look butt ugly, and the new scroll bars look like a broken record, maybe it's just the jpeg compression. I don't like the transparent menu bar - I think I need it to keep me grounded, or maybe ceilinged.
But I love the new menus!

Let's just hope the Printer setup and job management dialogs are finally intuitive! And the beach ball doesn't disable Finder when a network volume gets disconnected.

What's up with the spiraling in the AirPort menu?

The new side bar is perfect!

Nitpickers Beware!

Whoa now, I wouldn't be so critical on the UI! I think the darker title bars provide a nice contrast with the white windows and makes it easier to distinguish the parts which you can grab and drag. I appreciate the consitency as well. As for the new dock and menubar, it's kind of growing on me. I think everything looks much cleaner. Between now and October, I suspect more refinements to the operating system will be made. Everyone should reserve their judgements until the final release. :)

I am not so impressed.

Sure, there are some new features but everything looks the same as now except for some transparency and reflected graphics in the dock. This isn't that exciting, unless you find crochet an endlessly mesmeric sport event.

I'll buy it, but I won't believe I am seeing something so totally revolutionary it demands fawning, grasping and gasping.

Cheers!

Looks nice. New screensaver will be appreciated, I'm sick of flurry.

I have a PM G5 system with separate drives for system and storage, etc... and somehow in the process of splitting it all off, it developed a bug which keeps flurry as my screensaver on all my monitors - NO MATTER WHAT!

I have been stuck with flurry for 2-3 years! and have done everything from switching them to other in sys prefs, to deleting all actual mentions of flurry in spotlight searches- ITS STILL THERE! I can't wait for Leopard.

I love iCal's UI, looking exactly like iPhone's.

Maybe they will match this style to other untouched apps. I saw many untouched icons in Utilities folder.
