A forum thread on TouchArcade are maintaining a list of current and expected Game Center enabled games. Game Center offers a centralized achievement and leaderboard system for the iOS platform. In addition, Game Center provides matchmaking capabilities for multi-player games.

Here are some notable games that have been updated to support leaderboards and achievements: Ms. Pac Man, Real Racing, Flight Control. Pangea Software appears to be the first to include online multi-player support in Enigmo, Cro Mag Rally, and Nanosaur 2. For a full list, see TouchArcade.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

I recently found the Mac version of Cro-Mag rally on a iMac restore CD. I love playing it :D

Apple ain't fu***** around!!! This is going to be awesome.
And I love how they take their time to roll out their updates and tech. Self preservation is the name of the game. Too bad Android is going to eventually shoot itself in the foot by pimping out too much too fast.
Now c'mom November so I can update my ipad!!!!
16 gig with wifi +3G. HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

The Farmville app for iPhone has updated for Game Center, looks like Zynga is turing Farmville into a full blown iPhone game, and not just a Facebook counterpart.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Openfeint.

Game Center has an ugly UI in my opinion.

Thanks Apple for shoving another application down my throat.

Apple needs to revamp the OS so I can get rid of all the unnecessary default application clutter. I have absolutely no use for the iTunes store, Stocks, Game Center, Compass, Voice Memos, or YouTube.

It's slightly off-topic at the moment, but iOS needs a proper implementation of Risk. That is one of the best games of all times. If some developers could make Monopoly enjoyable on the Mac and on iOS; surely, another successful board game with a fantastic computer version (my favourite in 2000) deserves a better iVersion.

Waiting for Angry Birds the most.

Already hitting up the achievements on FlightControl

Game Center seems like it's going to be fun.

We just need a chat or messaging system with your friends to make it more social.

Going to have to get a gift card. Hope the games I have get updated

In before the people who don't get what Game Center is. It's primarily an API for devs to have standardized achievements/leaderboards and multiplayer functionality in their games.

All the Game Center app does is aggregate that info from all the different games on your iPhone/iPod touch in one place. The GC app itself is NOT the big deal.

So do any of the games feature multiplayer yet? So far it only seems to support achievements now.

I'm so old, I remember when "I'm gonna play a game" meant going outdoors with a group of friends and throwing/kicking/hitting/catching a round or oblong object called a ball. :D

+1

Always take (and hold) North America. The game is designed to win from there more often than not.

Game Center is going to be great once more apps adopt it. I hated having separate score boards for different apps. Now everything will be more unified.

I'm getting my new touch this weekend, so I'll wait until then to get it set up. My sister sounds interested in getting my old touch and playing Game Center games too.

Two minor but important features that are missing.

1) Ability to scan your contacts, facebook friends, twitter followers etc and see who is a member already. Like Ping, there is no way to do this and I don't want to spam friends with an email invite.

2) Ability to see some profile info on friend requests. When someone friend requests me, if I don't recognize the nickname, I have no idea who they are, even after I accept.

Two very minor features that I am surprised to see missing.
