At this point, Gamecenter is there to show your friends what you did.

It's up to the game developers to enable people to play against each other. It's not really a function of Gamecenter as not every game is multi-player. For example, FlightControl is a single-player game. You just match your high score against others.

It's possible that the Gamecenter backend simply isn't sophisticated enough to enable head-to-head competition at this point. At some point it may. You will probably need to exhibit a bit of patience with Apple, plus provide feedback to their development staff about your interests.

Yeah right about being patience, I need to be. But apple takes things VERY slowly. i.e getting 4.1 out for the iPad till Nov. UGH!

I have two games that they say there GC ready, one is showing up and the other isn't guess I'll go see what the deal is with that.

How do I provide feedback to Apple?

Depends on your perspective. Seems like they are fast when compared to rolling out new features ahead of others... ie: when will Android get a Game Center (or AirPlay, or VisualVoicemail, or Wireless Printing?) Apple is a leader. When leading, it's best to make sure that the path is better than those that have the advantage of following.

Game Center is iOS 4-only, is it not? When Worms was updated to require iOS 4, iTunes obligingly downloaded the update, deleted my old (functional) one, and refused to reinstall it when I subsequently reset my 1G iPod Touch. I promptly gave up on the app store altogether, jailbroke my iPod, and "pirated" the application that I had legally purchased.

Apple, your application distribution system stinks. I believe the operative phrase is "your own damn fault".

Hmmm lts see... two of those statements fail. My evo does have visual voicemail.... and if it didn't it could be installed from the market by a choice of apps... and yes... there is already apps to allow you to print wirelessly from an android device... so why dont you stick to talking about something you know? Game center on the other hand is not to bad on my touch , even Ifits lacking games as of now. I'm sure we will see that fixed with app updates though.

i really like gamecenter. from now on, i will be looking for games that have gamecenter support. but i must say, the layout and colors of the gamecenter app isn't my favorite

Shape-Up with Multi-Player and 14 achievements. It's a FREE Universal-App. There should be ads because there is an option to remove them (buy?) but I couldn't see them.
