Apparently AirPower is not going to be released anytime soon. They should apologize for lying.
Well the full list details iPods, iPhones, iPads, watches but no accessories including no mention of current AirPods first gen or second gen or AirPower so could it be that they just aren't on the list as they are accessories

Apple Care theft and loss...hmm. Now that's adding value. That's the only reason I went with carrier insurance and not Apple Care all of this time.

Wait, $400USD? Yeah I'll stick with my carrier and $200CAD deductible.

$400 for Apple Care. Almost speechless. This will be the first iPhone ever which I do not upgrade to.

I have to think the $400 must be the replacement cost (due to loss/theft) rather than the cost of AppleCare itself. I suspect a repair/replacement where you bring in the phone would be less.

I guess we will see in an hour and change what it is for sure.

ill still watch the event but its crazy how all these leaks just keep happening.

If it doesn’t release today, then I do believe it was announced way too early with no marketing whatsoever. I know Phil Schiller stated to look for in 2018, but at least some Provide some marketing for this product to the consumer, otherwise they should have waited much later to announce it, unless there is some potential reason for a delay.

Top of the line 2018 iPhone w AppleCare more than 250% the price of the original 2007 iPhone w AppleCare BEFORE they gave everyone a hundred dollar gift card for overpricing the original.

I understand what goes into the devices but when the original iPhone came out it was not classified as affordable. I have never really gone after apple for their premium pricing but basically having the top of the line model increase by 25% a year for over a decade is an issue.

I am at the point of investing more money in iPads and just keeping my iPhones for four or five years instead of the traditional one or two years. The carrier and Apple financing has obviously has allowed Apple to accelerate pricing. I doubt many or going fully out of pocket up front for more than $1500 for a top of the line phone.

You‘d figure a trillion dollar company who pulled the iPhone out of their sleeves would find a way or two to produce a charging device.
Well, we still have them animojis, more watch bands and, or course, we can now sleep peacefully even if a home invader wants to steal our phones for only $399 per device.

And, that concludes our event for the day. Please feel free to try out our new products in the display area.

Apple seems to be going heavy with the black backgrounds recently, the store has one on the "we'll be back" page and the press pass has a black background, white Apple logo.

Dark mode confirmed?

I think that’s the ECG/Heart Rate sensor ring on the back of the Apple Watch 4...
If you're referring to the gold ring we've been seeing on the invites, that's the Apple Park logo. Nothing more, nothing less.

$399 for AppleCare+!
In understand the inclusion of loss and theft, but seriously?!

I’d rather pay the $199 and forgo the loss and theft!

I bet that brings the XS Max w/AppleCare and 256mb up to about $1600!

Might have to forgo the AppleCare+.

Apple care + comes with a concierge service and while you are without a phone they provide you with a back up plus deliver your new phone via limo with z list celebrity
I do not want a Kardashian showing up at my house to hand me my phone back! What would the neighbors think?

For all the lost Apple Pencils...
The AppleCare + deductible for lost or stolen Apple Pencils is just $100.

They better offer two flavors of AC+, with and without loss/theft protection. No way I'm paying for something that I will never use. 11 years of owning an iPhone, never lost or misplaced mine, let alone had it stolen.

Yeah, like 200% more expensive.

I hope they aren’t adding that to iUP. That’ll legit be like $16 added on top of the phone payment. I’d start financing through my carrier at that point.

AppleCare is a rip-off, and it just gets worse now. My Amex and MasterCard do everything Apple Care does, including loss and theft, and it has no annual fee. Just get a new CC if yours doesn’t do the same.
