Gelaskins interferes with iPhone 4 Flash

Nice I might pull the trigger, how much is it total for a skin plus shipping within the US?

That's awesome! I'll be ordering one soon... it's like getting a tattoo though, i don't know what to get!

BTW... if the OP or a Mod could change the title of this thread to include "fixed" or "updated". The Gelaskins crew were very quick on the issue and even posted here. Props to them. I never ordered from the company, but more companies should operate like this.

Yeah I just took an exacto to mine and it worked perfectly. no need for a whole new skin. It's just vinyl...It's not that "tough".

Hey folks!

Thanks for all the feedback and love up here. It's nice to know that what we're up to is making people happy and if we can do it better, well, please tell us and we'll do our best.

Which leads me to the point here - we've made the changes to the iPhone 4 template, thanks to the feedback from this forum and all our customers are now benefiting from this - so thanks again! For those of you with the original iPhone 4 GelaSkin and had issues we're going to be putting up a landing page on our site that will make it easy for you request a replacement.

We'll let you know when it's up and running.

Well, you can do what I did and order 5 different ones! (all custom of course) :) If you order 3 you get 1 free... not sure if anyone knew that or not. Shipping is like $8 so I figured I would get a bunch and make the shipping price worth it. :D

I'm not someone for whom death grip is a problem. But In my case it does seem to reduce the death grip effect by two bars, which seems significant, and consistent with the consumer reports suggestion to put a piece of duct tape across the lower left seam.
 
Just keeping this alive and checking if GELASKIN as updated past customers with the old skin.

I just ordered one on the assumption that it would :eek:
 
Hi from Sacramento Airport, where I'm running 4.0.1 on my Gelaskinned iP4. On the table I have three bars. Holding normally without touching the death spot I have three bars. Full death grip gives me one bar. Peeled the skin off on the left side and still got one bar with the full death grip.

My position is a) the antenna issue is not a big deal and b) Gelaskins don't really help.
 
Updating this thread because now Gelaskin have stopped responding to my last emails. i was inquiring about the Recall and their Facebook just stated to be announced in the next 1-2 days almost a week ago. :mad:
