Hope they do too. Also noticing this is affecting reply back to posts on some websites or typing responses, as it takes several times for it being able to take. I would not recommend installing the newest beta and wait for the next one.

Hang on out there, the fix is apparently on its way! ✌️

There's a workaround for the Safari Top-of-Page Unresponsive bug that i posted in another thread yesterday.

Use a Safari extension like Makeover to set per-site CSS to move webpages down:

CSS:
body {
  position: relative;
  top: 25px;
}

You can also describe an extension which is what I did. Seems to be working.

I noticed that Beta 5 was large lots of stuff to download and the optimizing/indexing took along time. They must have done alot with the beta that leads to these issues i am reporting to above. Hope they fix it

Column selection in Numbers is not working, except when a second table is positioned lower on the display. Selection via menu is working.

I am curious whether applications such as Safari, Numbers, and Pages already share code intended for a future touch-enabled MacBook Pro (Ultra), and whether developers have overlooked the fact that a touch device already exists.

Anyone else seeing the Safari Profile/Tab Group drop down menu animation at a stuttery low frame rate when touching with a finger, but it's a smooth high frame rate animation when tapping with the Apple Pencil?

That is a long list. I think this iPad beta is the most buggy beta I have experienced since doing the beta program. Usually have few if any issues. Sure hope a fix comes soon. The bugs not only affect Safari, but some apps too and usually are preventing typing or clicking.

Sadly, I have run into this one too many times and it is frustrating (though I fully understand that is what I get for running a beta).
Yeah, hopefully the next beta fixes the bugs, and I wish so many weren’t impacted by it. It is kind of strange to me, it seems a fairly major bug, and it seems to be affecting a lot of people, yet historically this would be the least likely time to encounter a bug like this only about a month or two away from new hardware announcements and public release. I wonder if it has anything to do with the new MacBook hardware, foldable iPhone, or something. But hopefully the next beta will fix it for those encountering it. 🙂👍🏻

I’m new to the Beta program this year, with 26 & 27. Is having this many bugs normal? I get that there will be issues but this seems excessive. Things have been broken that worked fine before, kinda like if it ain’t broken fix it till it is.

Luckily, I haven’t encountered any of the top of web page bugs in Safari. 👍🏻
Yeah, I've been running into the top of the web page bugs.. strangely it's happening recently. Upon updating… didn't encounter any of those bugs. So, I've been using Beam Browser until a fix comes along… and it's not only Safari, iMessage has been part of it too. But I'm able to use Siri to direct message people or use quick reply under Notification Center.

Beyond the no touch zone safari issue everyone noted, has anyone else noticed that hovering over an open tab in safari on iPad with a mouse or pencil causes the hover preview to get “stuck”? Noticed it for a few betas and reported already

Yes same for me as you notice my list. Lots of issue with this beta 5

Just noticed that when entering the Spotlight search from the Home Screen the app icons have a grey square border around them. Reporting…

Is anyone having issue with control center with the Magic Keyboard. The mouse does not indicate the “click-to-pull” for control center. Globe-C does work, but full screen apps is finicky

Unfortunately, Safari is just unusable now. Tried Chrome, but that is no where near as good as Safari usually is. Missing the bookmark tabs and bookmarks are buried. Sure hope Apple comes out with a new beta next week.

Chrome sucks. I use Firefox or DuckDuckGo when sites misbehave in Safari (which seems to be less frequent now with 27). They’re different from Safari, but they’re not bad. And there’s a way to import your bookmarks from Safari in DDG, if that helps.

Am I imaging things or were you able to invoke control center on an external monitor in previous dev builds? I can no longer seem to do it.

Yes, Control Center works on extended displays on extended displays on iPadOS 27. I’ll test it later to see if I’m encountering the same bug on this build.
