supsossivly he had a hack via linux on the ps3 that would allow custom firmware on the ps3 once this got out Sony removed the other os aka linux install on the PS3

He is. Dude was the first man to unlock an iPhone. He also released later a jailbreak and an unlock when after months absolutely no one, including the dev team, could find anything.
He might act weirdish or cocky from time to time, but he is a pretty drat smart kid.

Geo WAS a kid, he is now a young man and in my opinion is making decisions best suited FOR HIMSELF...NOT YOU!!!
For THREE GENERATIONS of iPhone you all worshiped him, begged for his skills and jailbreaks and DONATED to his releases...ALL OF YOU (that used his jailbreaks) and now being the HYPOCRITES that you are, you sit here and belittle and degrade and call him names because YOU are upset that he made a decision to move on!
He VOLUNTEERED to jailbreak the iPhone and YOU ALL took advantage and enjoyed the exploits and now because he has decided to move on, you degrade and belittle him...such little men you all are
You all think the world revolves around you and your needs and when things dont go your way or someone changes their mind about business you belittle and degrade them. Do you all see just how LITTLE you really are? He can jailbreak his phones/games any day, at any time at his convenience and desire and what you all SAY or DO has NO bearing on his life or abilities.
So he decided he was tired of being harassed on the phone and all the sick and degrading tweets and comments on his blog...is he wrong for wanting to get away from it all and have some relief???
Wake up people, the world does NOT cater to your needs and wants. Give the man the respect he earned over three years and the respect that he made a decision to move on and do OTHER things with his life.
Some of you Mods and senior members should know so much better then to show this disrespect that you are presenting...are you not mentors and "moderators" here? Should you not lead by example and show positive posting? What if the Dev Team decides to call it quits...are they now immature, whining cry babies because they wont hack your phones anymore?

Nope, not at all...I am patiently waiting for SOMEONE with the skill and knowledge to do the thing they love to do as a HOBBY!
When i4 is jailbroken, I will be just a happy as everyone in this forum and will be one of the first to jailbreak and get my favs back on.
But I am also mature enough to know that what these guys do is a HOBBY and something that they love doing and the challenge presented to them. The minute that they get one rude comment or demand to many...they to will move on and will you all belittle them too?
I have patience and understanding and respect for everything that ALL of them do and I think that a lot more of posters in this thread should have the same, but I know that is to much to ask...oh well😉
Geo was a kid, and has his omg-so-awesome pictures of his supposed JB'ed iPhone 4 show us = he's still a kid. A dog in a manger, without doubt.

I would like to know why GeoHot gets all artistically bent out-of-shape over the public while the dev team keeps their cool?
You know what? I like the JB'ing, and when Geohot wasn't being a dick, i.e. a few years ago, I respected him and his work. Now he's being a dick. It's really that simple. I'd LIKE a Jailbreak, but since the iPhone is getting better in better by itself, i.e. a flashlight app using the LED flash, multitasking etc, my needs for a jailbreak are diminishing anyway. Heck, if Apple gave us some shortcuts to brightness/wifi/BT, I wouldn't need a jailbreak, personally. And even now I don't NEED one. If you're going to release one, release one. If you're tired of all the crap, say so and move on.
But parading your JB'ed iPhone 4 around on your site and THEN saying, "NOT for you, guys!", is a dick, dick, dick move. Period.

Because he is different and takes things differently because he is an American and enjoys the Freedoms to do so!
Just like you have your opinions, beliefs and values, he has his as well. Just because we may not see them in the same way does not mean he is wrong or should be belittled.
It is every Americans right to express themselves and establish our own values and beliefs. He is more then likely fed up with all the BS that is way more sadistic then what is in this thread.
I also have my opinions and freely express them, I do not care for arrogance either, but I respect what others are capable of doing that I can not do and show them the respect for their capabilities. He is not a friend and does not know me from Adam but I respect his ability to allow me the FREEDOM to alter my iPhone so I grant him the FREEDOM to withdraw from the BS and way people treat him demanding he release a jailbreak and degrading him for failing to do so.
I respect him but in my opinion, he should just learn to ignore the public. As someone had mention, it's part of the game. Like I said their is no need in getting all bent out of shape.

So he is a "dick" and he is "arrogant" and he showed off his accomplishments once again...SO WHAT!!! I think he deserved the last word and rubbing it in to all of those that were such demanding, ungrateful little cuss's!
He got the last word and it pissed off many many people, now think about how he felt to be harassed and hounded all these months when things were not moving to everyone's satisfaction.
We all deserved it for being impatient...I respect them all...does not mean I have to call them friend, swap spit and take long hot showers with em in the wee hours of the morning😉🙂
