My God, you really are only trolling. No sane person can make such stupid claims.

Nothing stupid about it. I can;t prove he reported back to the hyve, but you can't prove he didn't. So it's a possibility.

so you're saying the guy that left Apple and went to Google while he was working on the iPHone before release didn't implement his ideas or tell someone about Apple's IP at google and somehow Android ended up a lot like iOS? ok

Obviously not... And I doubt Google asked

It was clear from the beginning that Apple's short term goal was to simply delay as much of Samsung's holiday sales as possible.

Sure, but to what end.

It isn't fear like many claim because even in areas where Samsung can still sell, the results aren't dampening iPad sales one bit.

The reason is the same as the long term goal. Defending Apple's IP. Period. These injunctions are the way the game is played. Apple's not doing anything different than anyone else is and would be. But those guys don't get the page hits that mention Apple gets so we hear a lot about Apple but not the other 5000 lawsuits going on world wide every day

Yap, a possibility not backed even by Steve Jobs, he never accused Schmidt of using any hypothetical inside knowledge about the iPhone.

And when people accuse Schimdt about that the thing they are really saying is that Jobs, Cook, Ive and the whole Apple Board were really stupids. And they aren't

The proof has to be done by the one making the claim.

Ah, correcting wrong facts is not being Anti-[put what you want].

Do you get bored of making yourself look a fool and being down rated?

Mods - I'm not implying that he is a fool, just pointing out that he's making himself look one.

If he was too stupid to run screaming 'schmid stole our ideas' which he obviously didn't for good reason i bet. Can't ask him now can we?

Caring whether you're downrated or not.

Holy crap, are we that insecure?

Dude, Schmidt had been with Google since 2001. It wasn't until 2006 before he joined Apple's Board. He then left Apple once there was a COI. Wiki is your friend.

Do you think that him, The Great Boony et al can understand anything? Don't waste your time

Why stupid? If Schimdt did so he is breaking the law and could be sued.

This is hilarious. Some dude with a lot of fingers for god knows what reason keeps telling me I am failing at comprehending things yet he is doing exactly that and naming the wrong person he was intending to lol!

http://www.osnews.com/story/25264/Did_Android_Really_Look_Like_BlackBerry_Before_the_iPhone_

You forgot to post the other early device they had. The on that looked like the iphone before the iphone.

The trouble with that article is that it presents zero proof that it was actually "before the iPhone". All dates associated with that photo are in late 2007, after the iPhone was announced. Making that photo come off as more proof that yes Android OEMs were suddenly "inspired by" the iPhone when they saw the crazy sales numbers in the early summer and switched from going blackberry like to iPhone like.

The fact that it was the hardware that really switched and yes perhaps Android always had the touchscreen etc support is why Apple isn't suing Google but going after the hardware makers because they are the ones that had the inspiration.

But if you really want to play the photo defense game then a photo from like 2004 before Google even got Android and when the iPhone was still in the early stages (cause Steve didn't just poop out that design the night before MacWorld), is better proof.

I mean, I'm not here to fight ignorance....it's just that such misunderstanding of historical fact is always so baffling to me. At no time in the history of humanity has the accessibility of facts been so easy, yet, most people in our society choose to ignore them.

The Great Boony, however, is not interested in facts. Just ranting about how google stole everything and should be put down. It's easy to rant and rave. it's a bit harder to actually have - you know - facts.

Same could be said for assumptions without proof that Android copied iOS. Bottom line is iOS has copied many of the things Android already had... like the Notifications.

.

Actually Google copied Notifications from a Cydia App, then Apple employed him.

At least Apple gave him a job for his work, not just stole it like Google

"Eric has been an excellent Board member for Apple, investing his valuable time, talent, passion and wisdom to help make Apple successful," said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO.

That is definately someone who thinks Schmidt stole ideas from Apple.

See the date on that article? Yeah, it was before iOS was stolen dude. lol:eek:

my god. All those arguments of who stole from who in the past lead to nothing so why even bother in every single thread. It wont change a damn thing

everyone gets "ideas" and "buys off" other companies and their knowledge all the time. Nothing new and just more openly discussed now bc all the samsung vs apple drama zZz

What are you talking about. The notification system for Android was shown in 2007 before Cydia was even around.

Its true. Apple buys ideas and companies just like everyone else. They also steal ideas just like everyone else.

Same can be said for Android. They didnt see the iPhone July 2007 and then have a fully functional demo by Nov. 2007. Who cares anyways. Before the iPhone was the Clie, before that the Palm, before that, before that, before that. Who cares! I've never seen a group of fans like Apple fans that are so concerned with Apple being the first to do everything. Who cares!!! They make a brilliant product... done... end of story!

too right. Apple employs the innovation. Google copies the innovation. That is why google wave, buzz, google+ never really took off. Actually I read recently that google wave is shutting down. Google don't have the right minds in their team like Apple do.

Silly people for trying to take on Facebook too. That is why Apple has no interest in trying to take on Google Search. They can see the future unlike Google lol.

Also funny that a few brands are getting scared over a little line from steves biography saying he finally cracked it with TVs. Hilarious
