Just a heads up to anyone buying today. My store was not able to get me both the $50 trade and the $50 gift card. According to a manager it was considered double dipping, and the computer system has been updated to catch this issue and resolve it itself. It chose my promotion for me. I was offered to do it all over again, but knowing that the computer will just choose again, I opted not to. I am rather cranky about being out that extra $50 as I made the special trip to that particular Best Buy to utilize all of the promotions. But I would have been happier with just $50 to my trade in. I'm not a huge Best Buy shopper. Though I do need a modem and router so I can't get too irritated.

I had no issue using the mover's coupon though the rep originally questioned it. But an employee next to her said it worked. She used it first then took my trade in.

So after the mover's coupon (10%), $250 for my Air 1 16bg, $100 for my Xbox 360, I walked out with an iPad Air 2 64g SG for $226 and change plus $50 GC. Not as good as I thought, but still great for a $600 tablet. And I do love it so far! Just started playing with it!

Took my receipt in today and walked out 5 minutes later with a $50 gift card...
Nice I tried doing that but they had to return and repurchase in order for me to get it. Luckily had another movers coupon. Used the $50 toward red leather smart case

Which model 360 did u trade in? From what I read in the promotion the trade credit was only good towards the Xbox one.

Today I was able to use the mover's discount and the $50 gift card bonus from trading (as well as the $163 offer for my iPad 3, and get the $50 gift card in return. Fortunately I had done the trade-in a few days ago -- and already had the previous card in hand. The store was busy and it took 30 minutes before I could talk with anyone, but at least it's a done deal for me.

SO grateful for this forum. I bought my iPad yesterday using the 10% movers coupon. Logged in here today and saw what they were offering. Headed to the nearest store in Dallas that was doing the promotion. Took my iPad and box just in case. It took the CS rep quite a while to sort it, he refunded the whole thing back to my card, which is what I wanted to do because I wanted to re-purchase it to take advantage of the Amex $25 for over $250 spend at Best Buy which I'd just activated. I didn't have another movers coupon so I was a little stressed about it and it took him a long time to figure it out, applying different discounts. In the end he said how much discount did you get, I said 10% and he slightly begrudgingly applied it. Then it took him a long time to find a gift card as they were flying off the shelves, one rep came over and took a huge pile of them as she said she was selling loads of Macs today. I eventually got my $50 gift card, and a notification from Amex that I'd redeemed the offer.

What was funny was that there were quite a few guys in the line and next to me at the returns desk with iPads getting gift cards... I imagine doing exactly what I was.

So I ended up with $73 off with the movers, $50 gift card, $25 back from Amex and $100 credit from AT&T for adding it to my plan, for a total of $248 off. Very happy.

I wasn't going concerned about and extra promotion for my 360. I was concerned about the iPad promotions. It was a 250 slim. And as much as I want a One, I'll get more mileage out of an iPad. Not enough hours in a day to game. That console had been sitting unhooked for a year.

I picked up my 64 GB SG Air 2 for around $145 plus $50 gift card yesterday by using the following: $60 gift card I had laying around, 10% mover's coupon, iPad mini trade in, iPad 3 trade in, and an error they made by subtracting the $50 from the purchase price instead of giving me a gift card. The guy who rung me up saw that I got an additional $50 gift card after the purchase and said since someone else screwed up and he didn't want to spend a half hour trying to fix it I could keep it.

The $50 subtraction was probably from your trade in which is a coupon, and the gift card was a special they had yesterday.

Traded In on 11/8

Although the promotion is over, I'll share my experience in case BB offers this promotion again and people want to know what to expect. My expectations as I entered the store were not exactly correct.

I am an educator, so I thought the deal would go as follows:

$599 ipad air 2 64 GB wifi
-20$ to match iTunes education store: $579
-10% mover's coupon, or $58: $521.

Trade in: ipad 3 16gb wifi: $163
Plus $50 gift card: $213

So I thought the final price would be
$521 - $213 or $308 + tax.

It didn't turn out quite like that. When I tried to trade in the iPad 3, they told me I could get $163 and no more, because the $50 gift card would take the trade in over $200. That didn't sound right to me, and I quarreled. (Does that mean that an iPad 3 in perfect shape is only worth $163, but an iPad mini in poor condition - worth $67.50 - would merit the $200 trade in?) After some uncomfortable argumentation, and a long visit to an unseen manager, they agreed to give me $200 for the trade in, because the website said $200 minimum toward an IPA2. This was $13 less than I expected, but since I was already there, I went with it. I sort of expended my energy for haggling though.

Then I went to choose the new iPad. The fellow accepted the price match request, and I saw the price $579 ring up on the register. And then the 10% mover's coupon. But the mover's coupon eliminated the price match in the calculation. I even asked about it, and the guy was perfectly nice, but I couldn't get both discounts.

So here was the final calculation:

Trade in: $200
$599 for ipad - 10%: $539
Final price before tax: 339.

So that was 31$ more than I expected.

However, they completely surprised me with the added $50 gift card at the end of the transaction. I had not heard about it. So if I used that for a Xmas gift I would have bought anyway, I suppose that my final price before tax was $289.

Traded in my almost 2 year old mini. The manager at the BB I went to was super accommodating and helpful. Here's the deal I got which took a few days to unfold…

$600 64GB Air2
-$50 Coupon Mini Trade-in coupon toward Air2
-10% Movers coupon
-$150 Mini Trade-in
-$50 This is the one I'm not sure about. It might be they applied the gift card today (Saturday) but also gave me a $50 gift card today.
-$25. AmEx BB credit
-$50 Gift card they gave me today. This isn't really a credit since I need to buy something else so it depends how one looks at gift cards.
So about $230 after tax if I subtract the $50 gift card.

There was a problem last week when I originally ordered the iPad. SG was available to order before I traded in the mini. By the time I went to order and pay for the SG they were not able to order one so I ordered a silver one which the manager said I could exchange for a SG whenever they became available. When SG became available to order I went in and was going to cancel my silver order and order a SG. Talked to the same manager and asked if I should wait until Saturday's promotion because of the extra $50 gift card. He said sure, see me when you come in. On Saturday he redid the whole transaction and said he thought I would be happy. He checked the cage for a SG and said it was the only one they had and gave it to me. So I ended up with a great deal and not having to wait for the iPad to be shipped.

So with only about a week left on the latest 10% movers coupon, now what is the best item to get at Best Buy?

Ugh! I missed the opportunity to get the $50 gift card yesterday. I didn't even think to go back and to get a price match offer. I figured I would probably have a hard time since I already did an exchange once and it was a lot with the overrides that had to take place the first time. So I didn't put much thought into it. Glad it worked out for others though.

I know you probably are thinking about Apple related products, however, it works for pretty much anything in BB. DH used it to buy the PS4 Destiny version last week. He unexpectedly needed to replace his Nike running watch today (it died before his 15K race this morning) and used the coupon today for that. We may use it again since we may have to replace an old tube TV that is right at about 20 years old. The coupons that we have only black out for the Black Friday weekend, but are good through end of Feb. 2015. So, in other words, use it for whatever you need to use it for, so long as BB accepts it.

Ugh, can't believe I missed out on this! I just thought about trading in my Air 32GB after seeing BB would offer $301 for it. Congrats to all those who cashed in on this deal.

Does anyone know if the $50 trade in coupon is still being given out?

Also, will I be able to confirm that they will let me use the mover's coupon and the trade-in coupon to purchase the new Air 2 before I trade in my iPad 3?

They are not giving out the extra iPad Air 2 $50 trade-in coupon. I just came back from Best Buy where that's the first thing they told me (without me asking) at the Customer Service counter. I guess they've had a lot of folks still trying.

I was able to use the USPS movers coupon, so I felt good about that $60 off. They were skeptical that it would work on Apple products, but the coupon only says made for Apple accessories. Scanned and worked like a charm to their surprise.

I can't confirm if you can use the $50 trade-in coupon + the movers coupon, since I missed the trade in deal, but many others in this thread didn't seem to have an issue.

Good luck!

bummer!!!

i just got my air 2 in the mail today so i went to best buy armed with the $50 bonus and movers coupon to do a return/re-buy. the lady processed the refund then started a new transaction for the iPad. i gave her the movers and it took off $60, i gave her the trade in bonus and the machine declined it. there was nothing they can do so i just took the $60. i still have the bonus coupon that ends on the 14th but i don't know what to do with it though.

The $50 GC is now very YMMV. As of today, they were still offering the GC at the Rock Hill SC BB. But not at any of the Charlotte stores that I could find.

If you missed this deal, there will almost certainly be other deals before the end of the year. Even without the 10% coupon, or $50 GC, one could probably get just as good a deal for BF or Xmas.

Have to agree about deals. There will always be deals now. Deals were nonexistent when I bought ipad2 and 3. Now, there are deals all the time, especially with best buy. There used to be only deals on the older generation. Now, deals on new and old.

I got my iPad mini retina 16 GB from best buy during the summer for 300 bucks and thought that was a deal. Wish I had just waited for 64 GB.

I think this is apple's backdoor way of moving iPads without doing an official price cut. If you look at discounting from a year ago, apple has basically let retailers cut 100 off the base 16 GB model through GC promos, education discounts and trade-in programs. They have been doing this on MacBooks as well. Thats why mac sales were so strong during the summer.

Pretty clever if you think about it. Everyone is happy because they get a "deal" while apple can claim industry high MSRP and good margins due to the 16GB base pricing "ripoff" a lot of people here complain about. That is why apple continues to keep the 16GB model. It pushes people up to the higher margin 64/128 models.

With 301 dollar trade in for my iPad air I can get the 64 gb iPad air 2 for 225. Tempting...

i had to repair my screen, would they know? can i still trade in my iPad Air?

!???!?! and do you think this would work.

$100 off Black Friday Deal
50% off for trading it in
10% movers coupon

I believe you can still get $301 for it on trade in even now...?

You may want to recheck the trade in values, it seems they may have gone down a little.
