Hopefully I'm not too off topic here, but can someone please post the link for this offer of trading in your iPad to get a credit? I'm considering selling my iPad 2 but would like to wait until Black Friday weekend to actually buy the iPad Air 2 to benefit from a sale at that time. I don't have one of those credit cards that does price matching within 90 days, as others have mentioned in previous posts. Also, I may buy another product instead of the iPad Air 2 during Black Friday.

I want to see the post because I'm wondering

1. Do I need to trade-in my iPad 2 before Nov 8 to get maximum credit? Or can I wait until closer to Black Friday?

2. Can I use the trade-in credit for other products or does it have to be an iPad?

3. Does anyone think I can stack the 10% mover's coupon on top of a Black Friday sale price?

I had an iPad air 32 gb and had no intention of upgrading until I saw the Best Buy deal. So I researched iPad air values on EBay. 32 gb models selling for around $400 regularly. Ok so Best Buy is offering $300 plus $50 coupon. This is a no brainier. After EBay and PayPal fees I am getting more from Best Buy with no chance of a deadbeat EBay buyer trying to rip me off. Now I see I can use the 10% coupon available at the post office. I drove up to the post office, got 3 packs of change of address, and now I have 3 coupons to use as I need.

My local Best Buy had 64 gb models in stock. So I headed to the store at The Loop. Walked in asked for the 64 gb model, went to customer service, they checked my iPad , gave me $301 gift card and the coupon. They did not ask for cables or charger, Nice. Very easy process took about 5 minutes. Went to the checkout with the Air 2. I handed the clerk my 50$ and 10% coupon. He scanned them both no problem. The computer did take the 10% off after the $50 coupon, but hey I'm not complaining as it still saved me $55. Next my $301 gift card and to top it all off I had $150 in store credit to boot. Now due about $38 cash. I say oh ya, just doubled my storage and got a brand new IPad for $35 bucks. Thank you Mac Rumor forums.

Isn't it great when everything works as it should? Congrats on the awesome deal! This is the first iPad I have used that I am quickly becoming addicted to. Absolutely love the Air 2. Getting it for $100's off is icing on the cake.

1. Do I need to trade-in my iPad 2 before Nov 8 to get maximum credit? Or can I wait until closer to Black Friday? Not sure

2. Can I use the trade-in credit for other products or does it have to be an iPad? The gift card can be used on anything. The $50 off coupon is only towards the purchased of a new iPad.

3. Does anyone think I can stack the 10% mover's coupon on top of a Black Friday sale price? I don't have the coupon in front of me but I remember it expiring before Black Friday.

I cannot predict the future but I find it hard to believe the Air 2 on Black Friday will have a sale better than this. I would jump on this now and be able to use the Air 2 now rather than a month from now

I want to take advantage of this great deal but my local BestBuy does not have the instock the Gold 64GB Air 2 Wifi I'm looking for. Am I able to trade in my old iPad, receive the credit and $50 bonus and put it towards the Air 2 when it arrives instock?

You have to trade in by 11/8, use the coupons by the 15th.

To anyone else late to this thread, please read the back posts, most of your questions will be answered.

Regarding the mover's coupon: The coupon blacks out during the Black Friday weekend, but is good through February 2015. It specifically states: "Coupon valid 10/1/14-11/26 and 12/2/14-2/28/15"

It's the guaranteed trade-in offer that you will have to worry about. As already stated, you have to take advantage of the trade-in offer by 11/8. However, the resulting $50 coupon expires by 11/15. If you don't use the $50 coupon in time, then you are just left with the GC where the value of the trade-in will go.

Google up "Best Buy iPad trade in offer", but here is the link anyway - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/promo/trade-in-offer-129347

I can't find one best buy store in the San Diego area that has them in stock...

is Apple matching? (they have them in stock)

Just returned from the Encinitas store (North county, SD) and was able to take advantage of everything mentioned in this thread. Purchased a 128 GB Gold Air 2.

I wanted the gray, but they were out.
I was surprised the Movers coupon worked for the total amount (so was the guy helping me). Ended up trading 2 16GB 5S's and was saddled with only needing to pay an additional $66. on the CC after all was said and done.

i am thinking about doing this as well. My 16gb iPad air has been to little of my music and movies. So, you paid $400 after tax right?

$400 before taxes

$699.99 - $250 - $50 = $399.99

I thought I could get away with a 16gb iPad since I only use it for reading, surfing the net and apps like flipboard.

Unfortunately I was dead wrong.

Decided to go big and now when I travel, I can leave my laptop at home and use the iPad as a photo back up with the sd card reader.

Probably should have thought of that first but overall super happy with the new air 2.

Thanks for the tip. Picked up a couple of the 10% coupons at the post office. Unfortunately, none of the Best Buys around here have the space gray 64 Wi-Fi in stock and the coupon cannot used be online. I'm guessing that's probably the most popular model? They did have gold, but if I'm gonna spend around $600 for a device, I sure as hell am getting the color I want. Mulled heading over to the Apple Store, but I think I'll wait and save the $50 bucks with the coupon from Best Buy. It doesn't expire for awhile.

thanks but I'm near downtown SD. They did show available at the El Cajon store. might try that after work...

Worked for me as well. It took a little longer than it should have because after all of my information was entered for the trade-in, the PoS signature pad did not work so I had to be taken to a different terminal and have the process started over again. However, while I was waiting, the BB rep had someone fetch the iPad I wanted to trade up to (64 gb Gold ... no cellulars or space grays) and then once everything was done he went ahead and rang me up ... $301 gift card + $50 coupon + 10% off mover's coupon + 3x rewards coupon. Walked out slightly above $250 for my new iPad with some RZ points coming my way. Worked much better than I expected.

Where are you guys getting this $50 bonus coupon? I can't find it anywhere...

That's on iPad trade-ins only! I wasn't aware either and attempted to get that deal when I traded my iPhones…

A quick question:
I think it is a fair trade for a 16GB iP5S at $300. but don't sense that with a 32GB iPad Air cellular. Am I wrong?

I just couldn't give up my Air (1) at that trade-in (thus the two 5S's traded in…).

Ordered my 64GB Space Gray Cellular model this morning for in-store pickup. This feature seems to be working for the cellular models now.

I just got a tracking number, they're individually shipping my iPad to my store! I figured it would come in a mass shipment.

If the cellular iPad you want shows up on bestbuy.com and allows you to add it to your cart, in-store pickup is a viable option now.

From my order confirmation:

That's encouraging news. I ordered my 64gb silver cellular on Sat. for store pickup. Order is still processing, not shipped yet. As long as it gets there before the 8th, I'll be happy.

The big question is...does the $50 coupon count towards the trade in value ($150 trade in + $50 coupon) or is it on top of the minimum guaranteed $200 ($200 trade in + $50 coupon?

Yeah, it seems like BB's will be getting LTE versions in on Friday, but you can order one shipped to your house by Wednesday. The only downside is you can't use the movers coupon with it.

This morning, I didn't intend on getting a new iPad until Black Friday. Then, I saw this thread.

Now, I have a beautiful gold 16 GB air 2. Traded in my iPad 3. $50 off of the trade-in, 10 percent off with the movers coupon, $163 off for the trade-in. $270 later and I have my new iPad.

Great deal. Many thanks for starting this thread.

I am going to go this Thursday and do this deal..have an iPad 4th Gen that will give me 287.00 that plus the 50 dollar in store coupon plus the 10 percent movers coupon will make this a good deal

You're welcome, congrats! It's so nice getting a decent deal on a trade-in and not having to mess around with eBay or Craigslist!

I picked up a 64gb LTE from the Apple Store the other day because they didn't have cellular in stock at Best Buy. I have a 10% off coupon from opening 0% interest card for a fridge last month. Doubt I could combine that with a movers discount, huh?

I'm not sure if the 10% for the new CC can be used on an iPad. I just got one also, and the fine print is so long and confusing, not sure what it can and can't be used on. Did you read it?

I think I'm going to go try this tonight. Trading in an original 32 GB Air, but don't have my charger with me so we will see what they say.

Did you guys trade in the iPad first or go and pick up the Air 2 and then go to trade in?
