No Irish person would drink Coors. So, what you're saying is that you've never been influenced by advertising? Not even once?

By the way, why do you feel the need to state which Apple products you own in your sig? Is this what helps define you as a person, as a fan? What do you intend to communicate to others by this?

Eh... I majored in advertising, minored in marketing, ironically enough... so I know all the logistics of advertising and getting someone to buy your product... now advertising just irritates me, so no, I (unlike most, possibly) don't feel as though I've been influenced by advertising in the least. I don't look at a commercial or a print ad and go "omg i need that" or "omg i hate that". if i see a product that i might like to have, i read reviews on it, if possible, i check it out on my own, and then i make an informed decision before buying.

As far as the products in my sig, yes, I see what you're saying... I'm basically advertising the products to others... I see it more as being a proud Apple customer :)

love that gong, i think the yoga instructor storming out was a week expression of anger in the context of yoga. i think she should have gotten riled up and done some heavy breathing, it would have been much more fitting and amusing. i also do no longer feel that mr "mac" actor represents apple as i see it. which is way cooler than him. for instance, this add appeals to a newage demographic but mac isnt the one participating, he could have at least double checked his yoga appointement next tuesday. yada yada yada i liked the commercial, the brown yoga matt was a good touch. and i want that gong BAD

everyone feels like they are immune to advertising, just because ones a film maker doesnt mean films cant have emotionally moving impacts on them. studying and learning "what people like and how people behave" just crimps your natural sence of reality. i would say someone who is simply a consumer who has never studied marketing would have a greater edge on it than someone with institutionalized thought. thats what i think, and im sorry for picking on you since the other posters have done so aswell, i believe what you say, i just disagree that "degrees and majors" are anything substantial.
