Getting the X only to sell it for a small profit?

Looking at X's on eBay filtered by the "sold" category, it looks like most 256 gb models are being sold for between $1600 and $1900. Certainly nothing to scoff at, but considering the phone costs close to $1300 with tax included, the hassle of dealing with reselling and all of the scammers on eBay for a few hundred dollars seems marginal at best. Especially after you subtract the eBay fees lol

But sure, there will be the one off's here and there where someone pays double, but from what I can tell, most are selling in that range.

Anyone paying a premium for a commodity is stupid in my books, but I don't mind taking their money so all good. I won't be using eBay to flip mine though, no need to pay their silly fees. Gumtree, cash in hand, goodbye and thanks for all the fish.

I preordered two 256GB iPhones. One through Apple and another through att. I’m going to stick with the att since they both have a delivery date of 11/3 but att already charged me for the taxes. With that said, the Apple preorder doesn’t have the eligibility for the upgrade anymore. I do have the option of buying it full. If I buy it at full price, will this iPhone X be an unlocked GSM iPhone or not? Figured I can buy it and sell it to make a small profit because there are people willing to pay extra for them. Also, will this create an extra line on my att account or no?

There's 1000 results for iPhone X in my local Craigslist market. I've considered selling mine but it's not really worth it to me unless I could get $1500-1600 for a 64GB X.

Somehow by both mine and Apple App fault I ordered and paid for 2. Only wanted 1. No biggie. I have the money. No problem. I'm probably gonna just take it back to Apple but I have been thinking about it. The only thing is eBay sucks and Craigslist, OfferUp, and Letgo are just as bad.

IF (and that's a big if), the supply is extremely low as predicted by "sources", would anyone who ends up lucky enough to snag one before the holiday season try to sell it for a small profit?

I am not blown away by the X, but am impressed. I was thinking if can sell it to make a few hundred (or double my money which would be nice). Also, I am toying with the idea of getting an s8+ because I am bored with iOS and am looking for something new. However, if the iPhone X is as nice in person as the videos make it to be, then maybe I will just keep it.

Don't bother commenting to berate me on the idea on how its "morally wrong". I could care less and if I can profit well enough from this then you bet your ass I will sell it.

In the US anyway $100 and $20 notes use color shifting ink and it’s easy to detect if cash is genuine.
