Starred for Life

A TEENAGER is suing a tattooist who decorated her face with 56 stars.

Kimberley Vlaminck only asked for three tiny shapes below her eye.

But she says she fell asleep while the design was being inked and woke up looking like “a freak”.

She is suing tattooist Rouslan Toumaniantz for damages and to pay for a £9,000 operation to have the stars removed.

Now this is the fella she entrusted her face to. I ask you...

Who in their right mind would sit down in that man's chair for a "little" tattoo? What exactly about that face screams to one, "I know how to exercise restraint? I understand discretion and know about one's need to maintain a professional appearance!???"

Very nice. :D

How do you fall asleep with someone stabbing needles into your face?

I fell asleep getting my brain MRI'd. Which people can't believe, either. :D

But yeah, I do kind of doubt that part. Although, who knows. If she were really experiencing buyers remorse, she should have made an account at MacRumors, gone to the iPhone forum, and started making threads about how piercing is the way to go over tattoos, that black is now the new black and white is no longer the new black, that stars on your face are gay, and that the Palm Pre will destroy Apple. So since she doesn't seem to have done any of those things, buyers remorse seems less likely. :p

I'm going with the crowd that says she's lying.

ETA: Is that an earring or did he tat her on her ear too? LOL

Having gotten a tattoo...I find it unlikely she fell asleep during the process.

EDIT: I agree though, that on the right person, it would totally be rocking.

If she's a British teenager, and I'm going to guess she is with the price to fix it being quoted in pounds, the favoured method is to drink most of a crate of those awful tasting alcopops. Or get stoned out of your gourd.

How do you fall asleep during getting a tattoo? She was probably intoxicated.

In any event, this is horrible and very unprofessional of the artist, if you can call him that. And yes, I have a tattoo, so I'm not talking out my butt.

However, unless her specifications are on paper, she has no leg to stand on. He could have taken her lack of objection to being in a serene state and he kept on going, not recieving any resistance to his..."art."

Belgian…
;)

I wouldn't be able to fall asleep if I was staring at that guy's face the entire time. I may have trouble falling asleep tonight!!
I have a suspicion that what he's done to his face is the least of it…

Drunk, stoned, high... or a combination of the 3 :p

No way in hell she fell asleep - I'm voting for drunk off her ass and she and her friends thought it would be "cool" to put stars all over her face.

So what would happen if you did come in drunk or stoned? By law aren't the tattoo artists required to reject you?

Nice bit of judging a person by their appearance...

I think the girl is lying through her teeth.

A tattooist would never tattoo someone who is "asleep". It's just not worth loosing their job over....

She's lying. And why in the world would you do something that extreme to your face? To each his own, but unless you plan on being in the tattoo business yourself, there aren't a whole lot of options.
