I picked up the SS because I personally think it looks better on ME as a fashion item. I was willing to spend the extra £179 for that reason - I have the money to spend and for me, it's worth it.

The Sport Watch looks great. The Watch looks great. Both look great. But Stainless Steel is my personal favourite. I don't wear aluminium watches, but I've seen Sport watches look great on some/not others, the same with the Stainless Steel. It's really down to the individual. Hence the 'most personal device yet' stuff.

If the SS was £179 cheaper and the Sport the more expensive model, I'd buy the SS still. It's all about what works for the individual, what looks and wears right on the person (this is a fashion item, let's not forget that).

Really, anything else is irrelevant.

Everyone should just enjoy their Watches instead of trying to justify paying more or less. Yes, some of us spent an extra £179 on a watch. Yes, some of us spent £179 less on a watch. That's our problem and no one else's. :)

All of this bickering is pretty silly. Any Apple Watch is miles better than this:

Just enjoy the product you bought. These types of topics from "either crowd" just make it look like you aren't happy with your purchase.

On a somewhat related note, I'd love to have an aluminum watch with a sapphire screen. I don't have that option so I went with the sport and took the pros and cons that came along with it.

Obvious off topic comment is obvious, and off topic.

I think it's very much on topic. Instead of bickering about which model of Apple Watch is superior, why not come together and realize that the differences between these models are pretty minor in comparison with something like this.

I agree, this was on-topic. It is a current competitor in the Smart Watch arena, and this is a thread about my watch is better than your watch.:D

What kind of daily activities do you think involve scratching your screen?

Touching the screen with dirty hands, which is going to happen. A grain of sand is all it takes.

People who think their iPhone screens don't have any scratches on them after a year or two need to look closer.

By then, we'll have been trained to stand up whenever the watch commands us and by using the taptic engine direct us right and left until we arrive at the closest Apple Store and automatically purchase the new version of the watch via Apple Pay. #

Hahahahahaha! And then apple is gonna rule the world at apple white house

So much butt hurt in this thread.

Give it a rest, people put value into different things. One cannot simply say that the Sport model is the "better" value.

While I drool over the stainless steel model as it is absolutely stunning, I could not find myself spending the money on the first generation.

If I turn out to enjoy having a smart watch I will certainly buy a higher quality model in the future, if Apple continue the trend of offering different materials.

I think it's great for those who have the stainless steel model, it truly is a nice piece of hardware.
