Also love my 13PM. Got a MagSafe pop-socket, changed my (phone using) life. Can’t believe I never tried one until now. You don’t even need to hold onto the phone. Just hold the pop-socket between 2nd and 3rd, or 3rd and 4th fingers, and I can freely move my thumb across the whole screen. No more balancing the phone on my pinky. Very comfortable to use.

I just realized the beauty in accessories like the pop sockets, cases with straps on the back the adhesive straps and other similar products. These things are amazing. I've never had a plus or max sized phone until now, and it doesn't feel so unwieldy now. It makes the 13PM significantly more manageable.

Is it true you can type with Jess mistakes in the max? If so why?

I use my phone to send a lot of work-related email and Slack messages. And because of my role/industry, there's a certain expectation these will be phrased in complete sentences with minimal errors. On a smaller phone, this was a nightmare scenario, because my fingers would invariably hit two letters at once, and Apple's predictive text rarely predicts what I'm actually trying to write (Google's predictive text is far more compatible.) So, yeah, I find I'm making fewer mistakes with the larger keyboard afforded by the Max.

Yeah, I wish too I went for the Max. My iPhone 15 Pro will be Max

It took me about 45 minutes to stop noticing the size.

the battery life is incredible.
It took me two days of wondering if going Max was good for me and my smallish hands. Not to mention wondering how pocketable it would be.

Well, I’ve concluded for me it was well worth it. I did hedge my bets a little bit by using a Nomad leather case. It has very gripable edges and an optional wrist strap for my fumble fingers. :p The strap also lets me give the phone a easy way to pull the phone out of my front jeans pocket.

As my grip confidence built up, I’ve used Apple’s silicon clear case. And I have a blue Apple silicon waiting to be used.

In the end, I adapted to the Max’s larger size, and the screen size and long battery life was well worth it!!!

So… I have a 13 mini but was gifted a 13 Pro Max yesterday. I wish I can sell it but the person that gifted it to me lives with me. LOL. So, I’m currently test-driving it??? And first thing I notice is learning to hold it. Currently a two-hander for me while typing this. (I can hold and type with the mini with one hand.) But the screen… I can get a constant tan with this thing. I guess we’ll see.

Pro Max or nothing for me. If there was no pro max this year, I would have kept my XS Max instead of upgrading to the 13 Pro.

Good points !!

Just realized I forgot to put my 13PM on its charger last night. After almost 28 hours (and 6+ hours of onscreen use), it's still above 30%. Yet another reason to love the Pro Max.

Yeah, I never managed to figure out one-handed typing even when devices were smaller. You'll find you adapt quickly, or you can always use the keyboard setting for one-handed typing if you find this presents too much of a problem. Just don't forget your sunscreen if you keep using the PM...

Two fantastic options this year. I didn’t care for the bulk, weight of the PM and went with the Pro.

I think the sweet spot in terms of size is the XS Max.
I also had the XS Max and thought it was the best feeling Max phone. It was light, rounded edges were comfortable to use without a case, and the back wasn't matted so it didn't slip out of your hand. Every generation of the Max got heavier, the back turned to frosted glass that your fingers just don't grip, the edges got corners that just didn't feel as nice to hold, and finally after feeling my 12 Pro Max was too thick and heavy for a year and seeing that the 13 Pro Max was thicker and heavier still, I went with the 13 Pro as well. Not knocking anyone with a 13 Pro Max because it's a fantastic device, but as a long time Max user I couldn't be happier with the 13 Pro. I feel like I'm not missing anything (the screen is still huge and it has feature parity with the 13 Pro Max) and the phone is lighter and much more nimble. Still miss my XS Max though, it was the perfect iPhone.

is your far sight corrected with contacts or glasses? Mine is and then I still have a hard time seeing the PRO! its strange...lol.. not that old

I'm only slightly far sighted. I have a pair of glasses but don't wear them often. Mostly at restaurants when I'm trying to read the menu in low light. My night vision is fantastic -- almost as good as a cat!

I haven't been able to decide either. Today I saw someone using a 13 Pro Max and it looked like they had an iPad against their face. The 11 Pro Max already falls out of many of my pockets...just thinking maybe now is the time to go back to a smaller phone than have another huge phone (I had the 8 Plus, then the 11 Pro Max). But I don't know. If the 13 PM had extra features like the 12 PM, I would definitely choose it for that reason. Now that it doesn't, I'm torn.
The only differences between the 13 Pro and the 13 Pro Max are the screen size and battery. The cameras are the same. Apple changed it up this year making the two phones more similar. That's why I got the Pro upgrading from the same phone you have.

A small difference in screen width can make a huge difference in the size of the keys. Assuming we're talking about two-handed typing in portrait, there's a noticeable difference between typing on the form factor of the iPhone 12 vs. iPhone 5.

That being said, the non-max size is already pretty large, so it was probably true a few years back, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it's the case comparing the max/non-max size of iPhone 13 models.

I feel if I didn’t go to the promax I wouldn’t have gotten my moneys worth. I mean for $100 more than the regular pro you’re going from a 3095 Mah battery to a 4352 mah battery. That’s a huge difference. Furthermore being able to type on the keyboard with the extra width is way nicer ergonomically. The regular pro this year is more dense so the weight is not as evenly distributed as on the promax. And of course who doesn’t want a bigger screen. Pro Max all day every day. If I was really anal about having something more pocketable I would get the regular 13 with the bigger battery than the pro. Sure you lose some features of the pro but its lighter than the pro thus making it easier To hold
I’d prefer a pro model with same materials as the regular. Less fingerprinty, and lighter and I have no plans to perform surgery with my phone. Could also be cheaper. I loved the design of the 5s, although the 4 series was also excellent, but had a lot less stainless than the current models, as well as a brushed finish so it never looked gross. Pro max all the way though - function over form I guess.
