Let's keep this thread 100% positive.

Put your blinders on, and saddle up some happy thinking.

Here's my official theory of positivity for those of us who received the E-mail of Death / in the 4/24-5/8 launch window, or are stuck in processing purgatory.

Apple has been planning for this launch for 6 months.
The largest company in the world with practically infinite resources,
spent loads of energy and money market research to determine which models would be insanely popular. They were prepared.

Apple, knowing what they knew, planned ahead, and moved large quantities of the more popular SKUs into place. (Namely the black bands) Notice how all of the Space Gray and Space Black Models, have no band variants? That's because they knew how popular it would be, and were able to create them en masse.(specifically the low end space gray sport, probably the most popular option of them all)

There is no way that 1/5th of the manufactured sport models were space gray... I'd be willing to bet at least 50% of them were.

That's also the reason they're available super ready available as in store display / preview models. Because apple has a ton of these bad boys ready.

So. Since they were built out in large quantities, Apple was able to move them to staging areas around the country, similarly to how they've done in the past with iPhone launches.

You'll see all the negative threads littered with past iPhone pre-orderers, saying "don't worry! Apple didn't charge me / giving me shipping info until the night before launch, and mine showed up on launch day!" Let's chose to believe these fine folks.

Tonight, Apple will charge all of our cards, and then overnight them to us.
They're all ready to go, just waiting for them to slap a label on and shove them on a plane or truck. You'll be playing with your watch by dinner time tomorrow.

Email of Death? More like E-mail of "CHILL OUT. WE'RE . WE GOT THIS. TRUST US."

Let's all calm down and take a chill pill, and assume the best.
Apple hasn't officially let down us early adopters yet, let's assume they won't.

Let's keep the positive theories coming.
Please don't bring negativity in here, there are plenty of threads for that.
(some of which I've admittedly participated in)

Who else believes they're still going to get their Watch tomorrow?

EDIT: The sold out statuses everywhere, are mostly just a marketing ploy to A) Under promise and Over deliver and B) To create perceived scarcity to increase sales.

You have my permission to marry my daughter.

I like the way you think.

I'm just hoping to see as much movement as possible so that my 5/13-5/27 SG gets here before 5/13 :)

If it somehow made it into tomorrow's shipments (I'm really close to the 4/24-5/8 and 5/13-5/27 cutoff) then I would be ecstatic.

It's going to happen.
Just you wait and see. You'll get yours before the launch window is even closed.

It's all an apple marketing ploy: Fake scarcity, to increase purchases.

Well, I did notice that all the shipping notices so far have been UPS. Personally every single launch delivery from Apple to me has been via FedEx. So I wonder if the FedEx shipments are on a slightly different process. It makes sense if they are using both carriers.

I do think that most of the watches which aren't delivered on 4/24 might be delivered very soon after... getting mine on 4/25 is hardly a disaster.

I like the first half, and I sort of like the second half.
Let's go with, everyone who got the e-mail of death is getting sent their watch overnight via FedEx.

4/25 doesn't need to happen because everyone will get theirs 4/24.
Boom.

Hmm good point

I have a 38mm SG Sport with black band (May 13-27) ordered at 3:01AM EST and a 42mm SG Sport with black band (June) ordered at noon on the 10th. No charges on my credit card and nothing other than 'processing' showing on the orders page.

Since Apple apparently underestimated the demand for Space Gray, I'm guessing my glass is empty. :(

If they offered me something else for a quicker shipment, I'd be OK with that, but I haven't even gotten the 'delay in shipping' email they sent out to some. :(

It's over guys the watch is coming on May 8

Dude get out of here. This is a positive thread.:D

Positive thinking. This is a positive thinking thread.

judging by the number of people that report no movement on their order for these, I think you're wrong.

I think I'm right. This is a happy thoughts thread. Please take your negativity back to any of the 300 other "realist" threads. ;)

I'm trying to have faith, but it's on its last leg. I know there are a few UPS planes heading for the U.S. later today so it is possible. But if I go to sleep later tonight and I'm still processing, no hope for a delivery tomorrow, which sucks because I took a personal day for this very reason. But as long as I have it before May 8, I'll be happy.

Again, positive thread. BELIEVE! Yours is probably coming tomorrow via FedEx.
Apple has this.

There are about 50 other threads you can use to vent these thoughts… We all need at least one that stays positive

Exactly

And I believe you misunderstood what he was saying...

Let's go positive, with OP. He's saying 50% of sport watches made are Space Gray, already sitting next to where they need to go. That means there is no need for movement until later today...

Those that have seen movement are the ones that were manufactured most recently, and needed to come straight from China, not the ones that have been mass produced accounting for increased demand for certain models

This guy gets it.
They're already where they need to be, and we'll wake up to "out for delivery" notifications in the morning.

The world needs more positivity.
The internet needs a ton of it.

I wish I could make this my Apple Watch Face. You know, when it comes tomorrow.

I'm with you guys- usually get Fedex, ordered 37 seconds into preorder (38mm space gray), as a backup for not only a huge delay but also if I do not like the size, I ordered a 42 mm white sport today (june estimate) just incase but I couldn't imagine apple screws over all of us space gray/black/pink. Keep this thread going, i'd say 50/50 odds of success here!!
