Glass also adds weight.

Let me hazzard a guess, you got told Santa & the Easter Bunny weren't real a year too early. ;)

What are you talking about; Santa and the Easter bunny are real!

*Obviously this image is JUST to show that it indeed fits.

Lordy lord; I seriously hope not.

I don't know whether to commend MowingDevil for their creative thinking, or to condemn them for their stupidity!

I'm not tossing out the idea that the new computers might have a glass trackpad, I'm only saying this is CLEARLY not a reference to that.

My... STARS! The ONE Apple invite that is NOT CRYPTIC IN THE LEAST and people can't understand it! It's the back of the screen of the new frigging MacBook/Pro, people!

b-b-but the two golden gate bridges mean there's a Mac Tablet being announced.

Okay, now THIS one was true. Steve just got ticked off at the audience halfway through for not clapping enough, so he pressed the "Delete the One More Thing slides" button on his media remote and ended early.

I want an "Add some One More Thing slides" button on my computer at home to counter this when I'm watching a Stevenote.

Yeah, but Apple would probably control that button (like the App Store) and would have "default" slides that automatically cycled through every time you tried to reveal a "One More Thing" slide.

You know I really knew I was going out on a limb with this...but I thought I'd have some fun & be creative. I never thought I'd have anyone angry about it. Lighten up people, its a RUMOURS forum. If you don't like it don't read it or else too bad. I don't really care if you agree with me or not to be honest. I stand by my observations. Its late, I'm off to bed.

Your right. It is a rumors forum.

I heard a rumor that all MacBooks and macbook pros will come with a spotlight so you can shine it on your computer...

Come on

Dont look for stuff where there is nothing to be found.

why the hell does everyone think there is going to be a glass trackpad anyway?!
these spy photos are bullcrap, and the keyboard looks a lot like the one that they have now?
i don't believe any of this from steve jobs stalkers, and i won't until i see them.
and how do we know there is a even for the 14th?

Event on the 14th? Gee, I don't know...magic 8 ball?

Strange coincidence, but tonight a bud of mine was looking at my iphone, and asked how the touch response was.

Having a touchpad / LCD in that location would be great for shortcut keys, app specific/launch keys, scrolling -- even a lower-power LCD when playing back media on the go.

That would be a major upgrade from the multi-touch trackpad.

Here is to hoping. :apple:

Why oh why

I have been waiting for this event for quite a while. I made my decision to buy a new MBP back in April and have been waiting for this ever since. This will be my first venture into the world of Mac and in waiting for this event I've spent a lot of time on Mac rumor sites like this one and others. The only thing about the Mac universe that I am really starting to hate is all the speculation and investigating of every little thing. The invites have gone out and its official...the event is on. Now why can't people just wait 5 days until the event and see what gets unveiled instead of photoshopping and measuring and all this other stuff in an effort to decode what you think may be a clue as to what is coming.:confused: No matter what you say or think or post in a forum, when Jobs comes out on the 14th...whatever he has up his sleeve is what we'll get. Speculate too much and you set yourself up for a mighty disappointment if your speculation doesn't pan out. Just wait...I'm sure whatever it is people will like it. And if you don't the solution is simple...don't buy one.

I agree... though there are TONS of keyboard shortcuts for apps like final cut, I would love it if my MBP could detect if i had a bluetooth mouse connected then switch the the track pad to the final cut tool palette automatically or even better have it be able to assign other operations like render or have a effect icon that you can touch and it will go into a hierarchy of your effects tab.

Or if you don't have a mouse connected, you could assign a hot key to hold and it will change the trackpad from a mouse to a display of icons or commands.

I could only wish though........

Have you seen the larger image? If the black area & the silver parts are still there then its all good.

For the "reflection" to work in the way you're describing, someone would have to be holding that notebook in a damn weird way for the trackpad to show both the reflected notebook AND the light like that.

well I'm just hoping for a regular multitouch trackpad with a 2 button mouse. No glass thx

Brother, you are looking waaaaaay too far into it. No glass trackpad. Not a chance! Cryptically Apple? Not that cryptic my friend. In fact, they are losing their buzz and 'cryptic-ness' day by day. New products this Tuesday will be mainstream, lack incredible new features and be more value oriented.

Get real bro, you might need to get off MR a bit more.

Why don't you listen to what you're saying and not read threads like this? Or better yet, visit Apple.com instead of this one and not subject yourself to rumours. One thing I don't have any tolerance for is people who run around telling people what they can or can't do, what they should believe or write in a RUMORS FORUM. Some people are just having some fun with this stuff, if you take it that seriously you should stop reading this stuff that you "hate." :apple:

True, I didn't do any scientific testing on it but my guess is no matter how it was done there was Photoshop treatment & processing done to it. The entire lighting effect could be simulated.
