I received mine today. I don't have it installed yet because I am unsure where the red wire on the light panel connects to on a CDMA iPhone 4. KO gadget has only posted the instructions for the GSM model.

The one I recieved has a metal mounting tab at the top as well as metal screw posts on the bottom.
 
I've got mine installed and working. The connecting point for the red wire on a cdma model or 4s is between the power button cable and the front facing camera cable

It is a bit tedious to get the red wire connected and to stay attached to its connecting point with double stick tape but its not impossible.

Can you post pics of the connection itself? Thanks for the pics.

Also, the web page now shows "improved" light kit. If you ordered on the 17th which one did you get? Thx.
 
Mine left Hong Kong on 1/6/11. Can't wait, sucks that they prioritized their Facebook orders over direct orders from their site.

Can you give us more details, is the fitting of the backcover fine? No shadows when taking pictures with the camera? Can you take more detail pictures?
 
Anyone thats got one had issues with the position of the camera lens on the rear case being a few mm too low?

It's a pretty shoddy hack if you ask me , and given the quality I'm surprised people are spending $50-80 for cheap Chinese knockoff parts

The + wire is "connected" by lying it on top of a resistor and is held on by nothing more than contact pressure

You are welcome to solder and heatshrink tube it.
 
Has anyone in the US received their order???

I ordered via Facebook around Dec. 17 and have not received any correspondence or confirmation of shipment.

I have submitted an inquiry a week ago with no reply yet received.
 
I received mine from KO Gadget today. My fingers are too big and my hand shakes a bit for me to do this installation.

I got mine yesterday. Did you look up the tracking number by your order number on their website? They listed all of the Facebook orders that they shipped on their site.
 
So, I installed mine this morning, and it really wasn't as hard as I thought. It took me about an hour to install, and it was pretty easy overall. I wish it was
A little brighter, and had a warmer tint. And it does stay on for extended periods of time sometimes, but I've noticed no effect on battery life. Haven't decided if its a keeper or not. Might sell it to get a transparent back

what color and model did you get?
 
Can anyone with this mod confirm that the logo stays lit while listing to music or Pandora with the screen turned off? Mine does and I'm not too happy about it. :mad:

Yeah, it was a poor attempt at a joke. I used to dabble (and dribble) back in the day.

Since ordering mine in December i decided to upgrade to the 4S so now I have a light kit and no phone to put it on. Craigslist / eBay / MacRumors Marketplace / street corner, here I come!

What 4S did you get? I might have a black 4S kit for sale soon.
