gmail "pay it forward"

I have 2 invites. First two to PM me with their first and last name as well as their email address will get one.

lazy people... tsk tsk ;) :rolleyes: Just go buy one, two, or a hundred off of ebay for between 1 cent and 2.00 per...

it aint that hard... just look for auctions with no bids, close to the end time of the auction, and bid a few cents :)

search for gmail!

I wouldn't do it out of principle. Besides, this thread seems to be doing the trick. I think most (all?) of the people who asked for invites on the first few pages have been accommodated.

Once again, great idea and thanks for the generosity.

Just curious: How did you guys get the invites in the first place? Are you developers or something?

Connections. :)

Actually, my friend was the one with connections (friends with a Google employee).

i traded a photo of mine for 1 invite, and then i got 6 invites on my account. i sold them all on ebay for $5.00+
 
I've been lurking around here for a while, but I haven't posted before. If that eliminates me from consideration for an account, I understand.
But, I'd really appreciate an invite, and I'd most certainly contribute any invites I might get to the board.

I realize I'm kind of not following the thread rules, but I have a special request.

I have 6 gmail accounts I want to give away, but I want something in return. I will give you a gmail account, but in return you have to send my friend an email asking him to never smoke again. (edit: he already wants to stop smoking and i'm just trying to give him extra encouagement)

First come, first serve, I'll reply to private messages with his email address.

I've gotten 4 pms (i think), have given 4 accounts.

Check your PM box. I'll email your friend regardless, but that Gmail account would be nice

If anyone else has any invites, I'd love an account, and will of course send my invites to other Macrumors members.

Intervenes...Chain mail? Look, somehow he needs to develop some serious dedication to giving up smoking and trying real damned hard to stay off until the cravings etc. are gone. Ask BacktotheMac about how/why to quit smoking in case you think I'm lying....steps out again.

Well I got mine from demanding...

Actually, I got them through PMs since some people wanted to give them away. Originally, Gmail posts an invite link on the same page as your Gmail inbox that allows you to give out invites. Though I haven't seen it at my inbox page yet.

I wish there was a POP goes the Gmail for mac. I know there will be in the future but I'm impatient now heheh. I love gmail but I hate webmail, I'd be happy for them to embed there ads in my mail or charge me and it does seem google want to implement POP.

In the mean time however I did find gCount which sits in your menu bar and tells you if you have new gmail. v handy.

I have a friend who is desperate for gmail and I have no invites (do you get any if you are invited yourself) yet so if anyone has one spare he would be very grateful.
