I am SICK and TIRED of having to figure out how to open a simple sleeve of normal saltines.

The burden of opening the package is outweighed by the saltines.

Asymetrical anything.

Mismatching socks is definitely a pet peeve for me too. I buy my socks brightly colored, all in different shades to make it as difficult as possible to mess it up. The downside (unsurprisingly) is that if one disappears, the other is unusable.

For Christmas, my family (jokingly) got me sock nets to wash and dry my socks in so they don't disappear! :p So far it's been great, though, so fingers crossed...

The Blind use different shaped 'clips' to hold pairs together, drawer, wash & dry. :)

BT Broadband. (A download speed of 15 kbps???)

People in cafes who let their kids come to your table and stare at you.

Middle-aged ladies with makeup and jewellery who look down their noses at you as they pass.

Disabled people who lurk outside supermarkets and rattle collection boxes in your face as you emerge.

People who think that, because they love their dogs, you should too. This means kissing and making a fuss of them in public.

People who double-park and block the main street.

The fact that I have to walk miles in rain to get to a shop whilst hundreds of disabled spaces closest to the doors lie empty.

Players who kick-vote you off an online game just because you killed them.

Very strict religious people who thinks that their religion is the greatest and start saying bad things to other religion while they've never experienced it before.

I don't know who designed the packaging, but I've figured out how to open it without ripping it apart as your pic shows. It's really not hard. Just pull on opposite corners (of the same end) until the sides separate. Now do the same to the other two corners (again, same end - just trying to be clear). This now gives you enough of an opening to insert your fingers in the hole you've made to finish the job of separating the package fully so that an entire cracker can pass through.

If that doesn't help, next time you're in my area, bring a box of saltines and we'll have a practice session.

-People who feel it's not necessary to use a turn signal before turning.

-People who go 5 under the speed limit in the passing lane.

-Truck drivers who would rather stay in the right lane and run you off into the shoulder of the free way rather than get in the EMPTY left lane to let you merge.

It's the responsibility of the merger to adjust speed and, um, merge into traffic. The responsibility of those already on the freeway is to maintain the same speed, and not try to prevent the merger from merging.

It's a safety issue. You need to maintain the overall flow of traffic for the good of everyone on the road. My dad ran a merging big rig into those orange safety barrels once. He had his cruise control on and refused to change lanes to let the trucker in. He also stacked up the fast lane with that thing set at 55. Going the speed limit made him in the right.

My peeve: Cruise Control

Sure, with a fully loaded 18-wheeler. That's how little car in blind spots get crushed.

Slow down, and pull in behind.

Improper used of Cruise Control, and hogging the highway for his own person glee. ;)

Depends on the sign.

This one means both parties are involved with making a safe merge. The person already on the road may need to slow down or move over.

Those two signs place the fault on the merging car. Same if they have a yield sign on the onramp.

Depends on the area. The standards for merging very greatly by area. Here in Ontario we have GIANT merging lanes, most are nearly 250 metres long. Any car can get up to speed in that distance.

My peeve is people who can't control their speed. I use my cruise control all the time. I can drive for hours and hours without turning it off. I despise when I come up behind a car, pass them, pull back to the right lane and end up miles ahead of the car I just passed. Then the car I passed shows up 10 minutes later, passes me and pulls in front of me and slows down. This can be repeated 2 or 3 times until I give up and slow down and let them get well ahead of me.

I don't know if it's a law in the USA, but what ever happened to "Keep left unless overtaking".

Oh yes, I came across one of those on the evening after 9/11 attacks happened. This is in Australia mind you, a country which is normally fairly tolerant.

I'm with you on that one! But my solution is the opposite of yours: I floor it and get ahead of them. :D

  • "Customer Support" - It's an oxymoron.
  • (Related ^) Moronic incompetent Liars - As in, people who are so stupid they can't even BS you properly because their perception of logic is that bad.
  • People learning to drive who drive 10mph under the speed limit/people who full beam me and drive RIGHT up my boot whilst I'm learning to drive.
  • Emigrating to the USA to live with my aunt (a US citizen for 30 years) being more difficult than it should be given my skill set.

Sometimes here in Ontario I'd swear that most people keep left except to pass. The only problem is that Ontario drives on the right. Its the most frustrating thing to see people hanging out in the left lane, and a car passing them in the middle lane, and then ANOTHER car passing them in the far right lane. All this ridiculous aggressive driving could be avoided if people could stay right.

I used to do that too. Now I'm much too cheap to drive that fast. :D

I guess I should have said, keep right unless overtaking. I was thinking of here where we drive on the correct side of the road! :D :p

Just thought of a new one. :D

People that reply to posts ABOVE the quote they are referencing.

That takes extra effort, and makes it harder to determine the point being made.

I also find it quite perverse. :p

Low budget commercials. They drive me up the wall. I don't see how they think it helps their business at all.
This. A few green screen effects on your commercial of two rotating colors isn't going to make me want to buy your product. There was one recently that really irritated me- some slurpee of a sort.
